USER MANUAL HV-108 KR Koblenz
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. This product is warranted against malfunctions and defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year for domestic use.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY to any products or parts there of which have been damaged by tampering, misuse or abuse or which have been altered or repaired by an unauthorized person or service center.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY to brushes or accessories since their life depends upon the amount of use.
FOR REPAIR the inoperative machine must be delivered with shipping and delivery charges prepaid together with satisfactory evidence of the purchase date to an authorized service center or Thorne Electric Company at the address that appears below. Koblenz will either repair or replace, at its election, all defective machines during the warranty period.
The foregoing obligations are in lieu of all other obligations and liabilities including negligence and state Koblenz's entire and exclusive liability and purchaser's exclusive remedy. Koblenz will in no event be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or losses whatsoever. Koblenz's liability under no circumstances will exceed the contract price for the goods or parts for which liability is claimed.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE
This owner's manual contains IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. First and foremost, when using a 2,4 / 3,6 / 6,0 / 10,8 volt appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or injury
- Use only for intended use as described in this manual.
Do not use other than manufacturer's recommended attachments. - If appliance is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged, exposed to weather; or dropped in water, return it to a service center for examination and repair. Do not disassemble the vacuum cleaner, it is not user serviceable.
- Do not operate with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, and hair.
- Do not put any objects into openings.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and similar objects, away from any openings and moving parts.
- Do not pick up cigarettes, hot ashes, matches or similar materials.
- Do not operate without the filter bag and dust cup in place.
- Do not vacuum pets with this hand vac.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children. Do not allow to be used as a toy.
- Keep the hand vac away from direct sunlight and heaters.
- Store in a safe place.
- Do not use to pick up any liquids.
- If the charger line cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center or by a qualified person in order to avoid hazzard.
- Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
BATTERY REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL
This product uses nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) rechargeable and recyclable batteries. When the batteries no longer hold charge, they should be removed from the Vac and recycled. They must not be incinerated or composted. For battery's replacement go to an authorized service center.
RECHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
1.-Recharge the battery only with the switch in off position.
2.-Plug the charger outlet to the rear inlet of the vacuum cleaner.
3.-Connect the charger plug to a 120V electricity outlet. (Fig. 1)
4.-The vacuum batteries will start to recharge.
IMPORTANT: Recharge your hand vac for at least 24 hours. before using it for the first time.

OPERATION
- Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the charger.
- Push the power switch forward to operate. Unit will continue to run as long as the power switch is held forward.
- To use with accessories firmly push accessory into the open end of dust cup.
- To empty dust cup, press the release button and remove the dust cup by pulling it downward away from the unit (Fig. 2)
- Empty the cup and brush-off the filter. The filter may be removed, (Fig. 3)
and washed in water. Replace dust filter only after it is completely dry. Replace dust cup. NEVER OPERATE WITH FILTER OR DUST CUP REMOVED. - The body may be cleaned with dampened cloth. Do not clean with solvents.
7.- Recharge the unit while it's not in use of when you feel the power down.
