WORKING TECHNIQUES
This manual contains operating instructions for MARUYAMA* manual sprayer. You will find the general characteristics for all equipment and specific information for MX20Pro sprayer model.

It is vital that you read, understand and follow safety recommendations included in this manual.
Most accidents happen while filling the sprayers or mixing chemicals. Injuries can be serious.
While using chemicals carefully read the label and detailed instructions. Always use protective clothing, gloves and goggles.
Use proper nozzles in order to avoid drift that may affect other crops or workers around the area.
! Never apply chemicals against the wind.
Use a manual sprayer only for herbicides and one for other products in order to avoid chemical reactions.
Only compatible chemicals should be mixed.
Do not leave rubbish and dispose of it properly. Environmental protection is your responsibility.
Do not use flammable, highly corrosive acids or products at temperatures beyond the capacity of the equipment.
Do not allow children to use your manual sprayer.
Do not allow animals and children near your working area.

The user must be in good physical and psychological condition and never under the influence of drugs or alcohol. All working-skills, visibility and senses should be in good condition.
If you feel fatigued or tired take a break.
Wear appropriate clothing and safety equipment (follow after use recommendations).
Always clean the sprayer after each use and after filling clean exterior surfaces.
! Follow the indications of the chemicals manufacturers.
Special precautions may be required if you use the sprayer in greenhouses, check the ventilation and use adequate protection.
CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
Wear proper protective clothing and equipment when using, filling and cleaning the sprayer. Follow the chemical manufacturer's instructions with respect to protective equipment. Immediately change work clothes contaminated with plant control chemicals.
Clothing must be snug-fitting but allow complete freedom of movement.
For some chemicals it is necessary to wear impermeable coveralls. If you are spraying overhead, wear impermeable head covering.
Wear impermeable safety boots with a non-slip sole which are resistant to plant control chemicals.
YOUR SPRAYER
Do not make changes or adjustments to your sprayer, do not use non original MARUYAMA® parts and accessories.
This sprayer is designed for the application of chemicals. Other possible uses may cause equipment damage.
Before starting, check if your sprayer is under good condition.
Do not use liquid above 30° Celsius (86 ° Fahrenheit).

BOX CONTENTS
When you purchase a MARUYAMA® sprayer you must find the following in the box:
- 1 Assembled sprayer: (Filling Filter, Plastic Frame, padded straps, hose, trigger valve steel, pressure and injection system)
* 1 Container's lid (container's lid gasket and ventilation valve)
• 1 hand lever with 2 screws and 2 nuts
1 Plastic Wand - 1 nozzle

ASSEMBLING THE UNIT
After verifying and identifying the parts of your sprayer you can now assemble in accordance with the following instructions:

Install trigger valve
Screw the trigger valve to the lance tightening the lance's nut.

Install Nozzle
install the nozzle-holder and nozzle threading on the wand. You can install different kinds of nozzles depending on the product that you will use.

Install hand lever
Fix the hand lever to the plastic frame with provided screws and nuts.

Fill the tank
Place the sprayer on a firm and flat surface, check that the tank's filter is properly installed, fill up the tank with the pre-diluted liquid, do not exceed the maximum capacity indicated on the container.

Check lid's gasket
Check that the tank's lid has the gasket (which must be well lubricated with grease or oil), close the tank tightening the lid firmly.

Oil the pump piston
Before each use oil the sprayer's piston with a teaspoon or 5 drops of clean vegetable or light oil.

With the sprayer on your back, fix the harness to your size by pulling down the ends of the padded straps. To loosen the harness lifts the buckle.

Pressurizing
Keeping the trigger valve closed pressure the sprayer operating the hand lever uniformly with 8 - 10 strokes.

Adjusting the spraying pattern
Your sprayer is provided with an adjustable nozzle. Close or open the nozzle to adjust spray pattern.

Use the safe
Safe use When working long periods of time you can improve comfort by using the trigger safe. To activate the sale, displace the lock as shown in the picture.
AFTER USE
Storing the machine
Rinse the manual sprayer, fill the container with 5 liters (1 L / 4 gallons) of clean water, pressurize and spray until the container and the hose are completely empty.

Clean the filter
After each application or a long period of inactivity, clean the trigger valve's filter removing any element that can produce obstruction.
Wash with soap and clean water the external parts of your manual sprayer releasing it from waste, this ensures a smooth operation and prolongs the life of your sprayer.
