Frequently Asked Questions - IP2310T Oursson

How to open the lid after cooking?
The lid is locked while pressure is inside. Wait for the pressure to be released. Use the natural release method or quick release by turning the steam release valve. The safety float pin will drop when it's safe to open. Never force the lid open.
Can I use the cooker without liquid?
No, the cooker requires liquid to generate steam and create pressure. Always add at least 1 cup of water or broth, especially when pressure cooking. Dry operation may damage the device.
How to clean the sealing ring?
Remove the sealing ring from the lid. Wash it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reinstalling. Do not use abrasive cleaners or dishwasher for the ring to maintain its elasticity.
What do the preset programs do?
The cooker has 8 preset programs: Rice, Stew, Soup, Beans, Meat, Steam, Slow Cook, and Keep Warm. Each preset sets a default cooking time and pressure level. You can manually adjust the time as needed.
How to prevent food from burning?
Ensure you add enough liquid. Use the inner pot's non-stick surface. For recipes that tend to stick, such as rice, coat the bottom with a small amount of oil or butter before adding ingredients. Follow the recommended liquid ratios.
What is the maximum capacity for pressure cooking?
Do not fill the inner pot more than 2/3 full for pressure cooking. For foods that expand like rice or beans, fill no more than 1/2 full to avoid clogging the steam vent.
How to replace the inner pot?
Spare inner pots can be purchased from Oursson. The inner pot is removable and dishwasher safe. To replace, simply lift out the old pot and place the new one into the cooker base.
The display shows 'E1' error code. What should I do?
Error code E1 typically indicates a temperature sensor issue. Unplug the cooker, let it cool down, and check if the inner pot is properly seated. If the error persists, contact our customer support.
Can I cook frozen meat directly?
Yes, but increase the cooking time by 50%. Ensure there is enough liquid. The cooker will take longer to reach pressure. Cut large frozen pieces into smaller portions for even cooking.
How to download the user manual?
Visit the manual page at notice-facile.com or the Oursson website. Select your model IP2310T and language (English). You can download the PDF manual for free.

Congratulations on your purchase induction plate OURSSON!

The induction cooker works on the basis of an electromagnet that creates a powerful, high-frequency electromagnetic field. When cookware consisting of magnetic material (e.g. iron) is placed on the induction cooker, the electromagnetic field transfers energy to the bottom of the cookware, which causes the cookware and the food inside it to become hot. The amount of heat generated in the cookware is controlled by varying the strength of the electromagnetic field. When the strength of the electromagnetic field is changed, the temperature of the cookware changes instantly.

ADVANTAGES OF THE INDUCTION COOKER

  • Safe: the induction cooker does not make use of an open flame or fire. It also has a number of safety features, which allow you to enjoy cooking with your family whenever you want.
  • Fast: in induction cooking, the cookware serves as the heat source. This results in much faster and more even heat transfer, shortening the cooking time by more than 1/3 compared to conventional cooking.
  • Versatile: the induction cooker has 2 preset cooking modes, each with its own optimal heating pattern. These modes allow you to prepare a great variety of nutritious meals.
  • Very user friendly: the simple and interactive control panel and display allow you to easily adjust the settings at the touch of a button.
  • Comfortable: the induction cooking process is smoke-free and produces less grease. Moreover, the cooker and the surrounding area stay cool. This allows you to cook in a cool and comfortable environment.
  • Portable: the induction cooker has a compact design and the cooking plate stays cool. This means the appliance is always safe to use and allows you to cook anywhere in your home.

IMPORTANT
