INTRODUCTION

This amplifier has been designed for use in houses, shops, offices, schools etc...

It is endowed with protection systems preventing damages caused by short circuits, overheating and overloads and making it safe and reliable..

It features both line and optical inputs, with RCA and Toslink sockets.

It supports 4 -8 -16 Ohm connections and is equipped with a sophisticated multimedia module to play tracks from USB and receive audio via bluetooth.

LOW IMPEDANCE SPEAKER CONNECTION

When using low impedance speakers the main rule to be respected is that the total impedance of the speakers must be compatible with the impedances managed from the amplifier where the speakers will be connected (generally 4, 8, 16Ω). If you use more than one speaker, the value of impedance will be added up or divided depending on the type of connection (in series or in parallel). If you connect only one speaker you have to consider the impedance of the speaker itself.

Here are two examples of connection:

A. Parallel speaker connection

PARALLEL WIRING

The impedances are divided. In this example the 2 x 8Ω speakers can be connected to an amplifier suitable for 4Ω connections.

8Ω/2=4Ω (Total impedance)

B. Series speaker connection

SERIES WIRING

The impedances add up. In this example the 2 x 8Ω speakers can be connected to an amplifier suitable for 16Ω connections.

8Ω x 2 = 16Ω (Total impedance)

If you use few speakers it is easy to reach the 4, 8, 16Ω impedance requested by common amplifiers, but when you use several speakers it is necessary to choose a series/ parallel mixed wiring, which will allow to obtain the desired impedance.

Here is an example:

SERIES / PARALLEL MIXED WIRING

In this example the impedance of the 8Ω speakers is added (being connected in series). Then the 2 groups of speakers, connected in parallel, halve their impedance to reach a total impedance of 8Ω again.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

• When you position the amplifier take care that the cooling fan (19) is not obstructed and that it is sufficiently ventilated.
• Connect external line signals to the amplifier using the DVD/CD (15-16).
• An optical signal coming from decoders, TVs, amplifiers etc... can be connected to a toslink socket (13).
  • The RCA (14) socket is intended for a coaxial external signal.
• If you wish to connect a powered subwoofer to the amplifier, you can use the RCA socket (17).
• Connect the 4 Ohm speakers to the sockets (18) respecting the polarities indicated for right and left channels. Make sure that the speakers have an adequate power. Speakers with a lower power than the amplifier could get damaged. For advice, contact your trusted dealer.
  • Check that the antenna (12) is in vertical position.
• It is possible to connect a USB stick with music tracks to the USB port (8). To select and play the songs use the buttons (6).
• Once the connections are completed, plug the power cable into the socket (20) and on the other side into a power outlet with correct voltage.
• If you have headphones with a 3.5mm stereo plug, you can connect them to the front socket (2).
• On the back there is a voltage selector (21) preset to 220V. Do not change this setting.

OPERATION

• Press the POWER (1) button on the front panel to turn on the amplifier. The led (11) will light up to confirm correct powering.
• Adjust the volume using the rotary control (10). The VU-METER (5) shows in real time the signal level, which should never be constantly in the red zone. In this case, lower the volume or adjust the input signal level.
  • Use the INPUT button (6) to select the source of the audio signal to be played.
  • The TREBLE control (3) adjusts the high tones.
  • The BASS control (4) adjusts the bass tones.

BLUETOOTH

Press the INPUT button (6) repeatedly until the Bluetooth function is selected. Search for the amplifier in the Bluetooth menu on your smartphone or tablet and select it. Once paired, the speaker will play music from the device.

REMOTE CONTROL

Thanks to the included remote control it is possible to manage from a distance (8m max) the amplifier. You can turn it on/off, select the audio source and control volume and tracks. For an ideal reception, take care that the infrared sensor (7) on the amplifier is not hidden

MP3 PLAYER

Your new amplifier can play tracks saved on USB memory devices.

The amplifier is compatible with USB devices with a memory up to 32GB in FAT32 format.

Once the device is plugged into the USB port the tracks' playback will automatically start.

The compatible formats are: MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE.
