Frequently Asked Questions - ENVÄLDIG 405.115.27 IKEA

What is the maximum continuous power output of the ENVÄLDIG 405.115.27?
The inverter delivers a continuous power output of 150 W.
Can I use this inverter to power a refrigerator?
It depends on the refrigerator's power consumption. The inverter has a peak power of 300 W, but continuous load should not exceed 150 W. Most small refrigerators require more than 150 W, so it is likely not suitable.
What type of battery should I connect to the inverter?
The inverter requires a 12 V DC power source, such as a car battery or a deep-cycle lead-acid battery.
How do I connect the inverter to my car battery?
Use the included clamps or cables: connect the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal of the battery.
Does the inverter output a pure sine wave?
No, it outputs a modified sine wave, which is compatible with most devices but may cause issues with sensitive electronics like some medical equipment.
What are the protection features of the inverter?
It includes protection against overload, short circuit, low battery, and over-voltage.
Can I use the inverter while the car engine is running?
Yes, it is safe to use, but ensure the inverter is not exposed to excessive heat from the engine or exhaust.
How do I clean the inverter?
Disconnect it from power and wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use water or cleaning agents.
What should I do if the inverter gets wet?
Immediately disconnect it from power and do not use until completely dry. If water ingress is suspected, contact IKEA support.
Where can I find replacement parts for the ENVÄLDIG?
Contact IKEA customer service or visit the nearest IKEA store for spare parts and repairs.

USER MANUAL ENVÄLDIG 405.115.27 IKEA

Wash, rinse and dry the vacuum flask before using it for the first time. The flask may be washed in a dishwasher. If you wash it by hand, always add bicarbonate of soda or washing-up liquid in the water.

Good to know

  • Pre-heating the flask with hot water (or cooling it with cold water) makes sure the contents retain the desired temperature for longer. Never use a vacuum flask in a microwave oven, an oven or freezer.
  • Not to be used on a hob/cooktop/range or a hotplate.
  • Do not keep carbonated (fizzy) drinks in the flask. The build-up of pressure can make the cork explode with considerable force. The same thing may happen if sugary drinks in the flask are exposed to heat, as heat sets the fermentation process in motion.
  • If possible, avoid using the vacuum flask for baby food and for drinks made with hot milk. Bacteria can develop rapidly in the heat and set the fermentation process in motion. If you do keep milk or baby food in the flask, make sure this is only for a short time, and always clean the flask carefully afterwards.

Note!

Since you drink directly from the thermos, the liquid can be very hot, so be careful not to burn yourself.
