How do I install the V5B3M camera?

Mount the camera using the included bracket, connect the Ethernet cable to a PoE switch or use the power adapter, then configure via the Speco IP Finder tool.

What is the default IP address?

The default IP is 192.168.1.100. You can change it using the Speco IP Finder software on a computer within the same network.

How do I view the camera remotely?

Use the Speco Viewer app or web browser. Forward port 554 on your router and enter the WAN IP address with the port.

Does the camera support night vision?

Yes, it has built-in IR LEDs providing up to 100ft of night vision in complete darkness.

What power source does the V5B3M require?

It supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) 802.3af or a 12V DC power adapter (1A). Either works.

Can I use a microSD card for local recording?

Introduction

This camera series is the latest technology and advanced circuit design, which features high definition and sensitivity, low noise and distortion and supports HD video transmission with the common coaxial cable, ensuring the requirement of the HD monitoring in the traditional surveillance system.

- Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)

When there are both very bright and very dark areas simultaneously in the field of view, this function will balance the brightness level and provide clear images.

- Backlight Compensation (BLC)

When the back of the captured object is too much bright, you can set BLC for the captured object to make it clearer.

Cables

Video Switch: Four video output modes can be optional--AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS (a) remove the cover of the video switch cable; (b) hold and press the button in the video switch cable for 5 seconds to switch the current video output.

Installation

Before you start, please make sure that the wall or ceiling is strong enough to withstand three times the weight of the camera. Please install and use the camera in the dry environment.

You'd better install back the lens cover or lower dome less than 4 hours after removing it. The mounting types of cameras are only for reference.

▶Mounting for V5B3/V5B3M

1. Drill the screw holes and the cable hole on the wall according to the drill template.

1. Route and connect the cables.

2. Secure the mounting base with camera to the wall with screws as shown below.

1. Bracket adjustment. Before adjustment, preview the image of the camera on a monitor and then loosen the lock ring to adjust the view angle of the camera. Tighten the lock ring after the adjustment.

1. Attach the drill template to the place where you want to fix the camera and then drill the screw holes and the cable hole on the wall according to the drill template.

1. Then remove the trim ring from the gap of the camera as shown below.

1. Loosen the screws to open the lower dome. Then route and connect the cables.
2. Secure the camera to the wall with screws provided as shown below.

1. Three-axis adjustment. Before adjustment, preview the image of the camera on a monitor and then adjust the camera according to the figure below to get an optimum angle.

1. Install the lower dome back to the camera and fasten it with the screws. Then put the trim ring onto the lower dome. Finally, remove the protection film softly.

- Mounting for V5T3/V5T3M

1. Drill the screw holes and the cable hole on the wall according to the drill template.

1. Loosen the fixed screw to disassemble the camera.
2. Route and connect the cables. Then secure the mounting base to the ceiling or wall with the screws provided.

1. Install the dome and enclosure to the mounting base and then adjust the dome to obtain an optimum view angle. Finally, secure the camera with the fixed screw.
