Frequently Asked Questions - BMS-1K Impact

What battery chemistries does the Impact BMS-1K support?
The BMS-1K supports Lithium-ion and LiFePO4 batteries. Always confirm compatibility with your specific cells.
How do I wire the BMS-1K to my battery pack?
Connect the B- terminal to the battery negative, P- to load negative, and C- to charger negative (if separate). Ensure proper cell connections to the balance leads according to the wiring diagram.
What is the maximum number of cells the BMS-1K can manage?
It supports 4 to 16 cells in series. Do not exceed 16S to avoid damage.
How do I interpret the LED indicators?
A solid green LED indicates normal operation. Flashing red indicates a fault (overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, or short circuit). Refer to the user manual for detailed fault codes.
What should I do if the BMS enters protection mode?
Check the battery voltage and connections. If overcurrent or short circuit triggered, remove the load and reset. Let the battery rest; some protections auto-recover. If persistent, inspect for damaged cells.
Can I use the BMS-1K with a 12V battery?
Yes, but ensure your battery configuration is within the supported cell count. A 12V lithium pack typically uses 4S (4 cells in series).
Is the balance current sufficient for large capacity packs?
The balancing current is 100 mA, suitable for most packs up to 200 Ah. For larger packs, consider an external balancer.
Does the BMS-1K support communication with a BMS monitor?
Yes, it communicates via CAN Bus. You can connect it to a compatible display or controller for real-time data (voltage, current, temperature).
What are the recommended torque settings for the screw terminals?
Tighten terminals to 2.5 Nm. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the PCB.
How do I update the firmware on the BMS-1K?
Firmware updates are done via the CAN bus using the manufacturer's software tool. Download the latest firmware from the Impact website and follow the instructions.

Bike Mounting Kit

INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction

Thank you for choosing Impact.

The Impact Bike Mounting Kit allows you to securely store bicycles weighing up to 33 pounds and hang them off the ground to create more space in your apartment, home, office, or garage. Use the Bike Mounting Kit with Impact's Deluxe Varipole Support System (sold separately) or any support stand with a tubing diameter measuring 40 to 45 mm. This adapter cradles your bike's top tube with vinyl-coated hooks that minimize scratches or dents, and enable you to angle your bike ±30°.

Precautions ⚠️

  • Please read and follow the instructions, and keep this manual in a safe place.
  • This device is to be installed on support tubing with a diameter measuring 40 to 45 mm.
  • Do not exceed the recommended load limit of 33 pounds (15 kg).
  • Keep the coupler away from water, oil, grease, or any element that may cause it to move or slide along the support tubing.

• Make sure to properly balance your bicycle on the Impact Bike Mounting Kit. Improperly balancing a bicycle can cause serious injury to your person and damage to your personal property.
• Make sure this product is intact and that there are no missing parts.
- Clean this product with only a soft, dry cloth.

  1. Rotate the hook's tension wheel so there's enough tension to press down the locking handle until secure.
  2. Install the second hook in the other hook slot. Important: Mount one hook per slot on each side. Do not position both hooks in the same slot.

If you need to adjust the hooks to fit your bike frame, loosen the hooks and slide them along the hang bar's slots. Make sure to tighten the hook's tension wheel and locking handle until secure.
