Frequently Asked Questions - NELO706 Audac

How do I install the NELO706 speaker?
Separate the speaker part from the wall part by releasing the top and bottom screws. Mount the wall part on a wall or ceiling using appropriate fasteners (not included) with a spacing of 130 mm. Route cables through the grommets. Connect the amplifier wires to the SnapConnect™ connector. Reassemble the speaker part by sliding it into place and tightening the screws.
How do I select the correct power tap?
The power tap is determined by connecting the appropriate terminals on the connector. Refer to the sticker on the rear of the speaker for the correct combination. For example, white wire: 833 Ω for 70V/6W; red wire: 1667 Ω for 100V/6W or 70V/3W; blue wire: 3333 Ω for 100V/3W or 70V/1.5W; black wire is common (COM).
What is the mounting hole spacing?
The distance between the two mounting holes on the wall part is 130 mm. Ensure your fasteners match this spacing.
Can I use the speaker outdoors?
No, the NELO706 is designed for indoor use only. Exposure to rain, moisture, or extreme conditions can damage the unit.
Do I need a safety wire?
Yes, if the speaker is mounted at a height, attach a safety wire using industry-accepted rigging tools and methods to prevent falling.
How should I clean the speaker?
Use a dry cloth only. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
What type of amplifier should I use?
Use an amplifier that supports 70V or 100V line systems with the appropriate power tap. Ensure the amplifier output voltage and impedance match the selected tap to avoid damage.
How do I dispose of the speaker at end of life?
Do not dispose of with regular household waste. Follow WEEE regulations: take it to a local collection point or recycling center for electrical and electronic waste.
Can I change the power tap after installation?
Yes, you can rewire the SnapConnect™ connector to a different tap. Ensure the amplifier is switched off before making any changes.
What should I do if the speaker sounds distorted?
First, check that the power tap matches the amplifier output. If distortion persists, reduce the amplifier volume. Prolonged use at distorted sound can permanently damage the speaker.
