Frequently Asked Questions - MiVue 338 NAVMAN

How do I install the Navman MiVue 338 dash cam?
Attach the mount to your windshield using the adhesive pad. Slide the dash cam onto the mount. Plug the power cable into the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable along the windshield edge to avoid obstruction.
What type of memory card does the MiVue 338 require?
The dash cam accepts microSD cards up to 64GB, Class 10 or higher. Format the card in FAT32 using the dash cam's format function before first use.
How do I turn on the dash cam?
The dash cam automatically turns on when connected to power and the vehicle is started. You can also press the Power button manually if using the internal battery.
What is loop recording and how does it work?
Loop recording continuously records video in segments (default 3 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest files are overwritten. Protected files (from G-sensor or manual) are not overwritten.
How does the G-sensor work?
The G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. It automatically locks the current recording file to prevent it from being overwritten. Sensitivity can be adjusted in settings.
Can I use the dash cam in parking mode?
Yes, with a hardwire kit (sold separately). Parking mode records when motion or impact is detected while the vehicle is parked. Without the hardwire kit, the dash cam relies on its internal battery for short periods.
How do I view recorded videos?
Remove the memory card and insert it into a computer, or connect the dash cam to a computer via USB. Use compatible media player software. You can also view directly on the dash cam's screen.
The dash cam keeps restarting or turning off. What should I do?
Check the power connection and ensure the charger is properly plugged in. Try a different USB cable or adapter. Verify that the memory card is not full or defective. Reset the device by pressing the reset hole with a paperclip.
Is the GPS information displayed on the video?
Yes, if GPS is enabled, the video will overlay speed, location coordinates, and time. You can view this data using the Navman software or compatible player.
How do I maintain and clean the dash cam?
Clean the lens with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. Do not use chemical cleaners. Format the memory card regularly (every 2-4 weeks) to maintain performance. Keep the device away from extreme temperatures.
