Before you start your appliance, and to ensure a correct use, do not use it if:

To avoid hazards and deterioration of your appliance by an incorrect use, it is advisable to read the instructions carefully and attentively.
Your appliance must not be used to other ends than the ones foreseen in the instructions manual. Your safety is only guaranteed in a household use and not for commercial use. The incorrect use will not be covered and automatically cancels the right to warranty.

Be sure that, in case of malfunction, you take your appliance to a qualified technician for assistance.
This appliance can be used by children from 8 years old and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

1.1. Energy Supply
Check if the voltage of the electric power is compatible with the one mentioned on the appliance (this appliance must be connected to a power supply of 230V\~50Hz). If not, please contact your seller or the Customer Service.
1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables
Unplug your appliance whenever you are not using it.
Do not roll nor pull the cable to unplug the appliance. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.

Never use this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, nor if it is not working correctly.
If the power cord is damaged, do not use your appliance, take it to an authorized technical assistance to be replaced.
1.3. Moisture and Water
Do not use your appliance in moist environments. Do not let your appliance subject to get wet in any way, since it may be dangerous. TO AVOID FIRE OR ELECTRIC HAZARD DO NOT EXPOSE THE APPLIANCE TO WATER NOR MOISTURE. Do not put your appliance under water (for example, to wash it).
1.4. Cleaning
Unplug the appliance before you clean it. Later, clean it with a soft and dry cloth. Do not use cleaning products.
1.5. General Precautions
- The slices of bread in the toaster might burn inside it. For this reason, do not use the toaster near easily flammable materials.
- Warning! Danger of burning! This appliance gets hot during operation and can cause a burn.
- Do not put your fingers or any object like forks and knives inside the toaster.
In case any slice of bread gets stuck inside the toaster, unplug the toaster first and then remove the bread slice.
- To avoid overheating, you must allow the appliance to cool down for about 10 minutes after toasting 6 slices of bread.
- The toaster must be placed horizontally on a flat and stable surface.
- Put the appliance in a location where there is enough air ventilation.
- Do not place the toaster on or near hot surfaces like electric hotplates and stoves.
- Do not cover the toaster during its use, a fire may occur.
- To avoid damages to the cable, roll it without effort around the appliance's bottom.
- The packaging material must not be left at children's reach.
- Do not immerse the toaster into any liquid
- Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for household use only
2. USE AND OPERATION
2.1. Description of the Appliance

- Bread carriage lever (Start Control)
- Cancel button
- Toasting setting knob
- Bread insert slot
- Crumb tray
- Defrost button
- Reheat button
2.2. Before First Use
- Before first use remove all packaging from toaster. Check inside the toaster slots for packaging material and remove it.
- Make sure the crumb tray is in place and that the bread carriage lever is on the Up position.
- Place the toaster on a flat and stable countertop surface, away from the edges and at least 3 inches away from a wall or rear of the counter.
2.3. Toasting
- Plug the cord on the outlet.
- Insert a slice of bread.

Turn the electronic browning control to the desired position. The higher the number (1-7), the darker the toast colour.

Press the bread carriage lever down until it locks into position.
- When the toasting cycle is completed, the toast is automatically ejected up.
- To end the toasting cycle before it is completed, simply press the cancel button.
2.4. Reheating
- The reheat button is designed to toast the bread.
- Insert slices of bread into the bread slots.
- Press the bread carriage lever down until it locks into position.
- Press the reheat button.
- When the cycle is completed, the toast is automatically ejected up.
- If you wish to end the toasting before it is finished, simply press the cancel button.
2.5. Defrost
- The defrost button is designed to firstly defrost and then toast the bread, which slightly extends the toasting cycle.
- Insert slices of bread into the bread slots.

Turn the electronic browning control to the desired position:

Setting 1-2: for refrigerated breads and thinner frozen items such as frozen pancakes.
- Setting 3-4: for pastries, frozen waffles, thin French toasts and refrigerated bagels.

Setting 5-7: for thicker frozen items such as bagels, hand cut bread and thick French toasts.

Press the bread carriage lever down until it locks into position.
- When the cycle is completed, the toast is automatically ejected up.
- To end the cycle before it is completed, simply press the cancel button.
3. AFTERMARKET
KUNFT has designed this appliance in order to guarantee the maximum reliability. However, if a problem occurs, by following the procedures suggested in this section you may be able to determine its cause.
Do not open the appliance - there is a risk of electric shock.
If you are not able to solve the problem, please contact your seller or manufacturer.
All users must be familiarized with this section. Knowing what could go wrong can help you avoid the occurrence of problems.
WARNING: any attempt of fixing the appliance without contacting the manufacturer will nullify the warranty.

The warranty supposes a correct use and maintenance of the appliance, namely according to the instructions expressed in this manual. In case otherwise identified, the malfunctions will not be under the warranty.
The repairing of electrical appliances must only be made by qualified technicians, as otherwise there may occur future complications on the appliances.
To avoid unnecessary risks, in case there are any malfunctions on the wires or on another type of components, repairing must be made on the specialized locations of technical assistance, as appropriate tools are needed.
4. ENVIRONMENT CONSERVATION

Aiming to protect the environment, we try to reduce to a maximum the volume of the packages which are confined to three easy separation materials: cardboard, paper and plastic.
The appliance is made of recyclable material, once disassembled by a specialized company. Follow the local legislation concerning recycling of all materials.
