IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

DO NOT IMMERSE THIS APPLIANCE IN WATER

When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. Do not touch hot surfaces, and beware of steam which may escape from the appliance during the toasting operation.
  3. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plug or appliance in water or other liquids.
  4. Do not use metal objects, knives, forks or similar implements as they may damage the toasting plate.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  6. Do not leave appliance unattended.
  7. Do not use any unauthorized attachments with your toaster, they may be hazardous.
  8. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  9. Do not cover your toaster whilst it is hot or in use.
  10. Appliance should not be used if the supply cable is damaged or the appliance is dropped causing visible damage.
  11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injury.
  12. Do not use outdoors.

BEFORE USING YOUR SANDWICH TOASTER

Before using your sandwich toaster for the first time, clean the appliance and plates as described in the ‘Cleaning’ section.

Brush a little butter on the plates, heat the appliance with the lid open for 5 minutes and then remove any surplus butter.

The sandwich toaster is ready for use.

OPERATION

Please read all instructions before using this appliance.

  1. Close the lid of the sandwich toaster.
  2. Plug the appliance into the power supply. The red indicator light will illuminate to show that the sandwich toaster is heating.
  3. Prepare the bread and fill the sandwich while the sandwich toaster is pre-heating.
  4. Wait until the green light turn on, that means the sandwich toaster have reached the correct temperature for use.
  5. Open the sandwich toaster by pulling the handle clasp outwards and lifting lid.
  6. For golden toasted sandwiches, spread butter on the outside of the bread. Beware of some spreads which are not suitable for toasting. Always select bread of a suitable size to fit the plates. Place the filling between the unbuttered sides of bread. Ensure the sandwiches are evenly filled to assist with even browning. Place the sandwiches into the appliance.
  7. Close the lid, using a wooden spatula to hold the bread in place if necessary, until the handle latch locks.
  8. Allow the sandwich to toast for 3-4 minutes according to taste and ensuring that raw ingredients (eg. bacon) are thoroughly cooked, alternately pre-cook them before toasting. During toasting the indicator light will cycle on and off to maintain the correct toasting temperature. Beware of steam which may escape from the front of the appliance.
  9. Remove the toasted sandwiches. Do not use a metal implement for this as it may damage the toasting plates.
  10. After use, unplug the appliance and allow it to cool.

CLEANING

Remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning.

Do not clean the sandwich toaster under running water and do not immerse in water.

To clean, allow the sandwich plates to cool then wipe the appliance with a damp cloth plug a little washing up liquid if necessary. Dry carefully afterwards.

  3. The elimination of several faults of the scope of the guarantee is made for repair or replacement of defective parts, according to the discretion of our technical services. Defective parts are our property.
  4. Are not covered under warranty damage caused by transportation, neglect or poor use, improper assembly or installation, as well as external influences such as: lightning strikes or power, flooding, humidity, etc..
  5. Lose warranty, all appliances that are not being used according to the instructions, or connected to FEEDING NETWORKS not guarantee a constant voltage of 220/240V.
  6. The warranty does not cover damages for personal injury or damage caused directly or indirectly in any capacity whatsoever.
  7. This warranty terminates when it is found to have been undergoing repairs, alterations or interventions by any person not authorized by Jocel.

THE WARRANTY EXPIRES

  1. With the modification or disappearance of the nameplate of the appliance.
  2. Exceeded the period of 2 years for home appliances and 06 months for industrial appliances, warranty expires and assistance will be made by charging the costs of manpower, according to current fees.
