How do I set up the clock for the first time?

Insert 2 AA batteries into the battery compartment. The clock will automatically search for the WWVB atomic signal. Place the clock near a window for best reception. The time and date will set automatically within a few minutes. If not received, press the SET button to manually set time.

Why is my clock not receiving the atomic signal?

The atomic signal is weakest during the day. Try placing the clock near a window facing Colorado (for North America). Avoid metal structures, concrete walls, and electronic interference. If problems persist, remove batteries for 10 seconds and reinsert. The clock will attempt signal reception again.

How do I change the batteries?

Open the battery compartment door on the back of the clock. Remove old batteries and dispose properly. Insert 2 new AA alkaline batteries, observing polarity (+/-). Close the door. The display will come on and begin searching for atomic signal.

How do I set the time zone?

Press and hold the SET button for 5 seconds. Use the + or - buttons to scroll through time zones: ATL, E, C, M, P, AK, HA. Press SET again to confirm. The clock will adjust automatically for DST in most zones.

How do I set the alarm?

Press the ALARM button once to show alarm time. Press and hold ALARM for 3 seconds until alarm hour flashes. Use +/- to adjust, press ALARM to confirm. Then set minutes similarly. Finally press ALARM again to exit. Toggle alarm on/off by pressing ALARM quickly; alarm icon shows when enabled.

Why is the display dim?

The clock uses a reflective LCD; it does not have a backlight. Ensure there is adequate ambient light. If the display is completely blank, check batteries or replace them. In low light, you may need a small reading lamp.

How do I disable Daylight Saving Time (DST)?

Press and hold the SET button for 5 seconds until time zone flashes. Press SET again to move to DST setting (ON/OFF will flash). Use + or - to select OFF. Press SET to confirm and exit. The clock will not adjust for DST.

What does the temperature display show?

The clock displays the indoor temperature as measured by a built-in sensor. It shows in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C). You can change the unit by pressing the °F/°C button if available, or via the setup menu.

Can I mount this clock on a wall?

Yes, the clock has a keyhole slot on the back. Use a screw (not included) suitable for your wall type. Ensure the screw head fits the slot. Hang the clock securely. The stand is also removable for desk use.

How do I reset the clock to factory defaults?

Remove the batteries. Press and hold the SET button for 10 seconds while inserting batteries. This clears all memory. The clock will restart in default mode and begin searching for atomic signal. Reconfigure time zone and other settings as needed.

① Power up. Insert 2-AA batteries into the sensor, then into the clock. Observe the correct polarity.

② Configure basic settings. Hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter settings menu. Use the +/- buttons to adjust and SET to confirm.

• The station will automatically search for the atomic time signal at UTC 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00.
• Press and release the SET button to search manually for atomic time signal.
• Press the SET button to select daylight saving time ON/OFF. If you do not observe DST, use the +/- button to turn OFF the Daylight Saving Time Indicator.

Sensor Reception

• Hold the - button 3 seconds to search for the sensor.
• The strength signal icon will flash until the sensor signal is received or for 3 minutes if no signal available.
• The signal will show solid when connected to the sensor.

Low Battery Icon

• Battery icon by time-Change batteries in the clock.
• Battery icon by outdoor temperature-Change batteries in the sensor.

Mount Temperature Sensor

• Mount the outdoor sensor on a north-facing wall or in any well-shaded area. Under an eave or deck rail is preferred.
• The maximum wireless transmission range to the forecast station is over 330 feet (91 meters) in open air; this does not include barriers such as walls or floors.
• Be sure the outdoor sensor is mounted vertically.

Restart

When the outdoor readings show dashes:

• Bring the sensor in the house five feet from the station.
• Remove batteries from the sensor, and the batteries from the clock.
• Press any button 20 times.
  • After 15 minutes insert batteries into the sensor, and into the clock.
• Wait 15 minutes to establish a strong connection.
• Place sensor outside in shaded location.

Position Clock

The clock has a pullout stand to sit on a desk or table, or openings on the back to mount on a wall.

• For best Atomic time reception orientate the clock with the front or the back facing Ft. Collins, Colorado.
• Choose a location 6 feet or more from electronics such as cordless phones, gaming systems, televisions, microwaves, routers etc.
• Place within range of the outdoor sensor (330 feet open air).
