Frequently Asked Questions - SC-HC63C77 Scarlett

How do I adjust the cutting height on my Scarlett SC-HC63C77 lawn mower?
To adjust the cutting height, locate the adjustment lever near the wheels. Move it to one of the preset positions (typically 25-60 mm). Ensure the mower is switched off and unplugged before adjusting.
What should I do if the mower does not start?
Check that the power cord is securely plugged into an outlet and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. Ensure the safety switch is engaged. If the problem persists, inspect the cord for damage.
How do I clean the grass collector?
Empty the collector after each use. Rinse with water if necessary and let it dry completely before storing. Avoid using abrasive cleaners to prevent damage.
Can I use an extension cord with this lawn mower?
Yes, use a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord with a minimum gauge of 14 AWG and a length not exceeding 30 m to avoid voltage drop. Ensure it is rated for outdoor use.
How often should I sharpen the blade?
Sharpen the blade at least once per season or after 10 hours of use for optimal cutting. A dull blade tears grass and can cause browning.
What is the maximum slope angle I can mow?
Do not use the mower on slopes steeper than 20 degrees. Mow across the slope (not up and down) for stability, and never use on wet grass to avoid slipping.
How do I replace the blade on my Scarlett mower?
First, unplug the mower. Tip it on its side, using a block to prevent the blade from rotating. Use a wrench to loosen the blade bolt. Replace with the correct Scarlett replacement blade and tighten securely.
Is the cutting height adjustable?
Yes, the SC-HC63C77 has a central cutting height adjustment lever with 6 positions ranging from 25 mm to 60 mm. Adjust it to your preferred grass length.
What type of grass is this mower suitable for?
It is suitable for most domestic lawns including fine and coarse grass. For very long or damp grass, mow in two passes at a higher setting first.
How do I store the lawn mower?
Clean the mower thoroughly, drain any fuel (if applicable), and store in a dry, sheltered area. For electric models, coil the power cord loosely and hang the mower or store it on a shelf to avoid damage.
