Frequently Asked Questions - STL103 TEAC

How do I set the clock on my TEAC STL103?

Press and hold the CLOCK button until the hour digits flash. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to adjust, then press CLOCK again to confirm.

How do I set the alarm?

Press and hold the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 button. The hour will flash. Use HOUR/MIN to set, then press the alarm button again. Press ALARM ON/OFF to enable.

Can I wake up to the radio instead of the buzzer?

Yes. When setting the alarm, after setting the time, press the ALARM MODE button to toggle between wake-to-radio and wake-to-buzzer. Ensure the radio is tuned to a station.

How do I tune the radio?

Press the RADIO ON/OFF button. Use the TUNING dial or SEEK buttons to scan for stations. For FM, extend the wire antenna for best reception.

Why doesn't my radio pick up stations?

Ensure the antenna is fully extended. For AM, rotate the unit for better reception. Try moving the clock away from electronic interference and re-scan.

How do I activate the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE bar on top. The alarm will stop and sound again after 9 minutes. You can snooze multiple times.

What type of backup battery does the STL103 use?

It uses a standard 9V battery (not included). Insert it into the compartment on the bottom to preserve time and alarm settings during power loss.

How do I change the display brightness?

Press the DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through high, low, and off settings for the LED display.
