Frequently Asked Questions - WD-10490SV LG

How do I start a wash cycle on the LG WD-10490SV?
Load the laundry, add detergent, close the door, select the desired program using the program dial, adjust options as needed, and press the Start/Pause button.
What does the 'Smart Diagnosis' feature do?
It allows you to diagnose issues using a smartphone app. When the display shows an error code, hold the phone near the logo and follow the app instructions for troubleshooting.
Can I pause and add laundry during a cycle?
Yes, press the Start/Pause button. If the water level is low and the door is unlocked, you can open the door to add items. Close the door and press Start/Pause to resume.
How often should I clean the drum?
Use the Tub Clean or Drum Clean program once a month to prevent odor and buildup. Run it empty with a drum cleaner tablet or some bleach.
What should I do if the machine shows 'OE' error?
The 'OE' error indicates a drainage problem. Check and clean the drain pump filter (located at the bottom front) and ensure the drain hose is not kinked or blocked.
How do I activate the Child Lock?
Press and hold the Child Lock button (usually marked with a key icon) for 3-5 seconds until the lock symbol appears on the display. Repeat to deactivate.
What detergent should I use?
Use high-efficiency (HE) detergent suitable for front-load washers. The amount depends on load size, soil level, and water hardness. Refer to the detergent instructions.
Why is my laundry not spinning properly?
Check for unbalanced loads (redistribute items), ensure the machine is level, and verify that the spin speed setting is not set to 'No Spin'. Also, clean the drain filter if needed.
How do I clean the detergent dispenser drawer?
Pull out the drawer, remove the inserts, and rinse them under warm water. Use a brush to clean the drawer housing inside the machine. Reassemble when dry.
What is the maximum spin speed?
The LG WD-10490SV has a maximum spin speed of 1400 revolutions per minute (rpm). You can adjust it lower for delicate fabrics.

Anti - Crease Function

With the alternate rotation of the drum, creasing in the laundry is minimized.

■ More economical by Fuzzy Logic System

FUZZY Logic System detects the amount of load and water temperature, and then determines the optimum water level and washing time to minimize energy and water consumption.

Child-Lock

The Child-Lock system has been developed to prevent children from pressing any button (except Power button) to change the programme during operation.

■ Low noise speed control system

By sensing the amount of load and balance, this system automatically distributes load evenly to minimize the spinning noise level.

Auto Restart

Auto Restart allows the program to restart all by itself in case of power failure. It does from the stage where it stopped. It will be also the same when washer is plugged in after unplugging.

2-2.DETERMINE WASHING TIME BY FUZZY LOGIC

To get the best washing performance optimal time is determined by sensing of water temperature, selected washing temperature and laundry amount.

2-3.WATER LEVEL CONTROL

● This model adopts a pressure sensor which can sense the water level in the tub.
- When the water level reaches to the preset level the water supply is stopped, then the washing program proceeds.
● Spinning does not proceed until the water in the tub reduces a certain level.

2-4. THE DOOR CAN NOT BE OPENED
