Frequently Asked Questions - WRX-723 German Pool

How do I install the WRX-723 range hood?

Installation should be done by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at a minimum height of 650 mm above the cooktop. Use the provided template and fixings. Connect the ductwork to an external outlet or install a carbon filter for recirculation mode.

How often should I clean the grease filters?

Clean the aluminum grease filters every month or more frequently with heavy use. They can be washed in a dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstalling.

Can I use the hood with a carbon filter for recirculation?

Yes, the WRX-723 can be used in recirculation mode. You need to purchase a separate carbon filter (model CF-723) and install it above the grease filters. Replace the carbon filter every 3-6 months.

What is the maximum extraction rate?

The maximum extraction rate is 700 m³/h at the highest speed setting. Actual performance may vary depending on duct length and installation conditions.

The hood is noisy. What should I do?

Noise level up to 65 dB(A) at maximum speed is normal. Ensure the hood is securely mounted to reduce vibrations. Check that the ductwork is not blocked. If excessive noise persists, contact customer support.

How do I replace the halogen bulbs?

First, disconnect power. Use a flat screwdriver to gently pry off the bulb cover. Remove the old halogen bulb (G4, 20W) and replace with a new one. Reattach the cover and restore power.

The remote control is not working. What can I do?

This model has push button controls, not a remote. Ensure buttons are not stuck. If unresponsive, check power supply. If the issue persists, contact service.

What are the dimensions of the WRX-723?

Width: 600 mm, Depth: 500 mm, Height adjustable between 500 and 750 mm. The duct outlet diameter is 150 mm.

Can I install the hood on a sloped ceiling?

It is not recommended. The installation requires a flat, vertical wall. For sloped ceilings, alternative mounting kits may be available; consult a professional.

How do I reset the filter cleaning indicator?

After cleaning the filters, press and hold the speed button for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off. This resets the timer.

For safety purpose, you should read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time. Save the instructions for future reference.

The appliance is designed for domestic use and may only be installed and operated in accordance with these instructions for use.

1. The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or any individual lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
2. Keep children away from the appliance. Do not let them use the appliance without supervision.
3. If the power supply cord is damaged, do not operate the appliance. Contact German Pool or licensed technician for a replacement immediately.
4. Disconnect the power supply before cleaning, repairing or dismantling the range hood.
5. The range hood must be earthed.
6. Connect the range hood with an independent air vent to exhaust lampblack.
7. The air must not be discharged into a venting pipe that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.
8. The appliance should be positioned 700±50mm above the cooking range.
9. Please wear safety gloves for installation, cleaning, light bulb changing and dismantling, in order to prevent injuries.
10. To protect electrical parts, do not splash or spray the range hood with water.

11. German Pool range hood has high venting efficiency. Most of the grease vapor will be exhausted through the air vent when the range hood is in operation. Only very little amount of residual oil will be collected in the Oil Collecting Tray.

12. 當使用抽油煙機時，如房間內同時使用燃氣或其他能源的器具，房間必須有足夠通風。

16. There should be adequate ventilation in the room when the range hood is used along with appliances that burn gas or other fuels.

17. Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
18. To prevent fire hazard in case of oil build-up, the Turbine Impellers and other easily-soiled parts must be cleaned at least once a week.

The range hood must be installed and repaired by authorized qualified technicians.

Before installation, plug in and check if all switches are functional.

Installation Environment

For efficient air extraction, avoid opening too many windows surrounding range hood for this will cause air convection which prevents cooking fumes from rising to 25 cm (the effective suction / exhaust area).

Height Of Installation

The appliance should be positioned 700 ± 50mm above the cooking range. A distance that is near 700mm results in higher venting efficiency (Fig A).

Length of Exhaust Pipe

The length of the exhaust pipe should be minimized to avoid air turbulence inside the pipe (Fig B).

Keep the Hood Level

The installation of the hood should remain level, in order to prevent oil from spilling over from oil collectors (Fig C).

重要事項

1. The exhaust duct must be exposed outdoors.
2. There should be adequate ventilation in the room when a gas cooking range or other fuels are in use for cooking.
3. The air from the range hood must not be discharged into a venting pipe that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.

操作面板 Control Panel

• When Main Power button ⏻ is pressed, range hood enters stand-by status. All functions can be activated.
• When Main Power button ⏻ is pressed again, all functions will be turned off.

II. Fan Speed

- Select fan speed: After the Main Power button is pressed, press one of the Fan Speed buttons.

- Fan off: To turn off the fan, just press the Fan OFF button, or Main Power button.

Note: Do not press two Fan Speed buttons at the same time. It is to prevent the motor from being damaged.

III. Heat-Activated Auto Start

Note: Make sure the unit is in stand-by status for heat-activated auto start to operate.

• When the gas cooking range is working without the fan being turned on, and the air temperature under the range hood reaches 55\~60°C (130\~140°F), thermal sensor will activate the fan to run at high speed for 2.5 min automatically.
• If the cooking temperature reaches 55\~60°C (130\~140°F) again after the auto start has completed, the above function will be activated again.

Note:

• After this function has completed for once, you need to press the desired Fan Speed ●—●●—●●● if you want to keep the fan running.
• To stop this function, press the desired Fan Speed or turn off the Main Power ⏻.
• To keep this function, remain the Main Power button ⏻ on.

IV.電熱除油

Note: Make sure the unit is in stand-by status for heat cleaning to operate.

1. Press Heater button 🎨. The Heat Cleaning Indicator turns Red, indicating the heating function is on.
2. The heater will work for 15 minutes.
3. After 15 minutes, the fan speed automatically changes to operate in high speed for another 30 seconds, in order to exhaust the residue or saturated oil. During this period, the Heat Cleaning Indicator turns Green.
4. After 30 seconds, the Heat Cleaning Indicator turns Neutral. than half full of grease, in order to avoid spilling.

Note:

• If Heater button is pressed when the fan is running, the fan will return to the original speed after the heating finishes.
• If Heater button is pressed without the Fan Speed button being pressed, the fan will remain off after the grease removal programme finishes.

V. Lighting

Note: Make sure the unit is in stand-by status before turning on the LED light.

• Press the LED Light button - to turn it on.
• Press the button - again to turn it off.

VI. Automatic Night Light

Note: Make sure the unit is in stand-by status before turning on the automatic LED night light.

• When the surroundings are getting darker (or completely dark), the night light function will be automatically activated. LED will light up at 20% of its normal brightness.
• When the surroundings are getting brighter (or completely bright), the sensor will turn off the night light function automatically.
• To shut off the automatic night light function, turn off the Main Power ⏻ after cooking.

重要事項

• To ensure the most optimum efficiency, the range hood must be cleaned at least once a week.

• There is a risk of fire if the repair and cleaning of the range hood (especially the fan and other easily-soiled parts) are not carried out in accordance to the instructions.

• Power plug must be disconnected before cleaning and repair.

• Use mild detergent to clean surface of the hood each time after use.
• Clear oil from oil collectors when they are more than half full of grease, in order to avoid spilling.

If you encounter the following common troubles, please solve according to the following instructions. If the problem cannot be solved or a cause cannot be found, please contact our customer services centre.

Note: For safety purpose, do not dismantle the product for repair by yourself.
