Frequently Asked Questions - BRA603CPX-F Bellini

How do I install the Bellini BRA603CPX-F range hood?
Mark a vertical center line on the wall and a horizontal line for the hood base (minimum 600 mm to electric cooktop, 650 mm to gas). Drill 8 mm holes, insert dry wall anchors, mount the hood bracket and chimney brackets. Hang the hood, connect exhaust ducting (for extraction mode) or install charcoal filter (for recirculation), and attach the decorative chimney. Ensure the hood is level and secure with anti-tilt screws.
How often should I clean the grease filters?
Grease filters should be removed and cleaned every four weeks at maximum to reduce fire risk. They can be hand washed in warm water with mild detergent or placed in a dishwasher. Ensure filters are completely dry before refitting.
How do I replace the charcoal filter?
For air recirculation mode, a charcoal filter is mandatory. To replace: remove the grease mesh filter, install the active charcoal filter onto the motor chamber as shown in the manual. Under normal use, replace the charcoal filter approximately every 3 months or more frequently with heavy usage.
How do I replace the LED light?
Switch off and unplug the hood. Remove the grease mesh filters, then remove the screw from the electrical box cover. Locate the LED light connector and unplug it. Press the spring splinter on both sides of the LED to release it, or use a flat screwdriver to prize up the edge. Install the new light by reversing the steps.
What are the dimensions of the BRA603CPX-F?
The width of the hood is 600 mm. The chimney assembly can extend up to 780 mm maximum. Refer to the manual for exact measurements.
Can I use this range hood with a gas cooktop?
Yes, but the minimum distance from the hood base to the gas cooktop must be at least 650 mm. Always cover lit gas burners with pots or pans when the hood is in use, and switch off burners before removing pots.
What is the warranty coverage?
Bellini offers a 3 year in-home warranty for domestic use. It covers manufacturing defects and performance failures. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty does not cover misuse, improper installation, commercial use, or damage from power surges.
How do I clean the stainless steel surfaces?
Clean regularly with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Dry immediately to avoid water marks. Wipe along the grain of the stainless steel to prevent scratches. Specialized stainless steel cleaners can be used.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Never flambé under the hood. Do not discharge exhaust into a heating flue or roof cavity. Ensure the hood is switched off before maintenance. Keep packaging materials away from children. Always ventilate the room when using the hood with gas appliances.
Can the hood be installed outdoors?
No, this range hood is designed for indoor use only. It must not be installed over a solid fuel stove or connected to a chimney that is in use. Exhaust air must be vented outside or recirculated as per the mode.

CHARCOAL FILTERS

When air recirculation mode is chosen, a charcoal filter is a must. It is not washable and should be replaced when it no longer absorbs kitchen odors effectively. Under normal use, this would be approximately every 3 months or more frequently for particularly heavy usage.

GREASE MESH FILTERS

The mesh filters can be cleaned either by hand or in the dishwasher. After cleaning ensure that the filters are completely dry before refitting.

- By hand: Soak in warm water and a neutral washing up liquid. For stubborn grease stains use a soft nylon brush or sponge to help remove these stains. (Leave to dry naturally out of direct sun light) - In a dishwasher: Ensure that placement of the filters is made so as to not impede the function of the spray arm. Washing the filters in a dishwasher may cause discoloration of the aluminum inner mesh over time although it will not affect their performance.

Filters should be washed separately to crockery and kitchen utensils. it is advisable not to use rinse aid.
