Frequently Asked Questions - MINI AS400 PowerPlus

What does the PowerPlus MINI AS400 do?
The PowerPlus MINI AS400 is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that provides backup power and surge protection for connected devices such as computers, routers, and small electronics.
How do I connect devices to the MINI AS400?
Plug your devices into the AC outlets on the back of the UPS. Ensure total load does not exceed 400 VA. Connect the UPS to a wall outlet for charging.
Can the MINI AS400 protect against power surges?
Yes, it includes surge protection to safeguard connected equipment from voltage spikes and transients.
How long does the battery last?
The battery typically provides 10-15 minutes of backup at full load (400 VA) and longer for lighter loads.
How do I replace the battery?
The battery is user-replaceable. Open the battery compartment on the bottom or back, disconnect the terminals, and install a new 12V 7Ah sealed lead-acid battery. Ensure correct polarity.
What does the alarm beeping indicate?
Continuous beeping means on battery power (utility failure). Fast beeping indicates low battery warning. Constant tone means overload or fault.
Can I use the MINI AS400 with a generator?
Yes, but the generator output must be stable (clean sine wave). The UPS may switch to battery if frequency or voltage fluctuates too much.
How do I perform a self-test?
Press and hold the test button (if available) for 2 seconds. The UPS will briefly run on battery to verify functionality. Or simply unplug the AC input momentarily.
Is the MINI AS400 compatible with a modem and router?
Yes, it is ideal for modems, routers, and other network equipment. Ensure the total power draw is within the 400 VA limit.
What should I do if the UPS beeps continuously and shuts down?
This often indicates overload or battery failure. Disconnect some devices and check if the battery needs replacement. Refer to the manual for troubleshooting.
