How does the magicMOUNT surface attach to my phone?

The mount uses a strong neodymium magnet. You attach the included thin metal plate to your phone or case, and it holds magnetically to the mount without interfering with GPS or wireless charging.

Will it work with a thick phone case?

It works best with cases less than about 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick. Thicker cases may reduce magnetic hold. You can attach the metal plate to the outside of the case if needed.

Does the adhesive residue when removed?

The adhesive is designed for strong bond but can be removed cleanly if carefully peeled. Use a hairdryer to soften the adhesive for easier removal without residue.

Can I rotate my phone?

Yes, the mount allows 360-degree rotation in both portrait and landscape orientations. You can adjust freely while driving.

Is the mount safe for GPS signal?

The mount is designed to not interfere with GPS. The metal plate is thin and placed in a location that does not block the GPS antenna, typically in the center of the phone.

How do I clean the mount?

Wipe the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the adhesive area dry and free from dust to maintain stickiness.

Can the mount be reused?

The adhesive base is one-time use. However, you can purchase replacement adhesive pads separately if you need to move it to another surface.

What surfaces does the adhesive stick to?

It adheres best to smooth, non-porous surfaces like dashboard plastic, glass, or metal. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of oils before application.

Will the magnet affect wireless charging?

The metal plate may interfere with wireless charging if placed directly over the charging coil. To avoid issues, position the plate below the coil (e.g., lower third of the phone). Some users report no interference with proper placement.

Is the mount compatible with all devices?

It works with any device that is less than 5 mm thick, including most smartphones and GPS units. Heavy tablets or rugged cases may not hold securely due to weight.

Please use a plastic card to remove the metal plates. Remove adhesive residue with a non-abrasive cleaner.

Note: This item is not to be used with any Qi Wireless Charging products as the metal plates can cause extreme heat that can cause burns and/or damage the device.

OPTION 3

(large plate only):

Attach adhesive side of

metal plate to interi of case, between device and inside of case. Plate will adhere to magnetic mount through rear panel of case.

NOTE: If choosing not to attach the metal plate to the device or case, please leave the adhesive backing in place. Position the plate between the device and interior of case with the metal surface facing the case.

OPTION 4 (small plate only):

Similar to Option 3, attach the adhesive side of the small plate to the interior of the device's rear battery compartment cover (if space and design permit). Plate will adhere to magnetic mount through the rear battery cover. For more information please visit www.scosche.com/magmount.

Use a thin plastic card to carefully lift the

magnetic mount or metal plate from the mounting surface. Slowly lift up and remove the mount or metal plate.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Scosche Industries Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from purchase. This Scosche product is sold with the understanding that the purchaser has independently determined the suitability of this product. This warranty is offered to the original purchaser of the product only. This warranty does not cover the product if physically damaged, subject to negligence or misuse, abuse, alteration, accident, or an act of GOD. This warranty does not apply to product which has water or physically damaged by accident or which has been misused, disassembled or altered.

The original dated sales slip or proof of purchase will establish warranty eligibility. If the product should prove defective within the warranty period, return the product with proof of purchase to Scosche Industries Inc. Scosche, at its option, will replace or repair the product free of charge and return the product postage paid.

In no event shall Scosche Industries, Inc. be responsible for claims beyond the replacement value of the defective product, or in any way be liable or responsible for consequential or incidental damages. No empress warranties and no implied warranties, whether for fitness or any particular use or otherwise, except as set forth above (which is made expressly in lieu of all other warranties) shall apply to products sold by Scosche. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
