How do I install the WMPFSE-E cable manager?

Mount the manager to the rack using the provided #12-24 x 0.5 in or M6 screws. Built-in screw retention secures the screws. Then install the cover by positioning it flat against the front of the manager fingers and pushing to snap it in place.

What screws are required for mounting?

The package includes #12-24 x 0.5 in and M6 screws. Use the appropriate type for your rack.

What is the recommended torque for the screws?

For #12-24 screws: 9 ± 1 in-lb. For M6 screws: 1 ± 0.1 N-m.

How many UTP cables can the WMPFSE-E hold?

Using Method 1, it can hold 48 UTP cables (0.187 in diameter). Using Method 2, it holds 24.

How do I open the cover?

The hinged cover can be opened from the top or bottom by pulling the flange.

Can I use this cable manager with non-Panduit patch panels?

The manual recommends use with Panduit 24 or 48 port patch panels, but it may work with other standard panels. Ensure compatibility with your equipment.

What is the cable capacity for fiber cables?

Using Method 1, it holds 144 fiber cables (3 mm diameter). Using Method 2, it holds 72.

What is the difference between Method 1 and Method 2 cable routing?

Method 1 places two cables in each slot and routes half through each end retainer. Method 2 places two cables per slot when cables come from one side, routing all through the opposite side.

Is this manager suitable for rear cable management?

Yes, when used with front and back WMPH managers, place 2 cables in each of the 12 rear slots for each row of 24 ports.

What maintenance is required?

Wipe the manager with a dry cloth as needed to keep it clean. No special maintenance is required.

The hinged cover opens from the top or the bottom. Pull flange to open and close cover.

Install the managers to the rack with the #12-24x.5 or M6 screws provided. Built-in screw retention in mounting holes secures screws in manager during installation. Install the covers to the manager by positioning cover flat against the front of the manager fingers, then push to snap in place.

Note: The recommended assembly torque shall be 9+/-1 in-lb for #12-24 screws, 1+/-0.1 N-m for M6 screws.

The PatchLink cable manager is recommended for use with Panduit 24 or 48 port patch panels mounted above and below the manager.

When routing the cables for the patch panels, either of the following two methods are recommended to help maintain cable bend radius.

METHOD 1: For each row of 24 ports, place two cables in each slot on the manager.

Route half the cables through each of the wire retainers on the ends of the manager.

METHOD 2: If the cables are coming from one side of the rack, place 2 cables in each of the slots on the manager.

NOTE: When using front and back WMPH's to manage cables on the rear of the rack, place 2 cables in each of the 12 slots in the rear of the manager, for each row of 24 ports.
