Frequently Asked Questions - MG2002PC Yamato

How do I install the presser foot lifter device (FL10)?
Loosen the lock nut of the cylinder rod chip, install the air cylinder to the back of the machine with screws and washers, connect the air pipes, and adjust the cylinder rod chip so that the lifter lever touches the stopper when the presser foot is lifted.
How do I install the roller lifter cylinder (APL10)?
Remove the rear cover, install the roller lifter cylinder with screws and washers, connect the feed roller lifter link and puller link joint, and connect the air pipes.
How do I adjust the height of the feed dog?
Remove the needle, presser foot, and stitch plate holder. Loosen the adjusting screw, nut, and screw for the feed dog. Set the feed dog height to 1.4–1.6 mm above the stitch plate at its highest point, then tighten all.
How do I switch between straight band and curved band sewing?
For straight band: rotate the upper roller yoke lower counterclockwise and invert the roller lower plate. For curved band: rotate the upper roller yoke lower clockwise and adjust the roller lower plate angle. Fine-tune with the upper feed roller lever.
How do I program the motor for the roller lifter?
For Mitsubishi FMF/GMF motors, access C mode (↓ + C) and S mode (↓ + B + D). Set values for IA, IB, IH, IM, K11, K12, etc., as specified in the manual to control puller rise and fall timing.
What is the correct threading procedure for the needles and loopers?
Always turn off the motor before threading. Pass the needle threads through the needle eyes after pulling new threads until knots reach the front. For loopers, thread according to needle position as shown in Fig. 9.
How do I adjust the roller feeding amount?
Loosen the nut on the upper feed roller lever rod. Move the rod in the U direction to decrease feeding amount or in the D direction to increase it. Tighten the nut after adjustment.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Always turn the motor switch OFF and ensure the motor has stopped before installing needles or threading. After installation, turn the switch OFF before any maintenance.
How do I adjust the lifting amount of the roller?
Loosen the screw on the collar of the feed roller lifter cylinder. Move the collar in the I direction to decrease lifting or J direction to increase. Standard lifting amount is 5 mm.
How do I clean or maintain the sewing machine?
After use, clean the feed dog area. Check needle-looper clearance and needle guard after needle changes. Refer to the MG2000 manual for detailed adjustments.
