What tools are needed for installation?

You will need a drywall saw, screwdriver, wire stripper, and a template for cutting the hole. Ensure you have the appropriate speaker wire.

Can this speaker be used outdoors?

No, the IC-525-T is designed for indoor use only. For outdoor installations, consider Klipsch's AW series.

How do I connect the speaker wire?

Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from each wire, press the corresponding spring terminal, insert the wire, then release. Ensure positive to red terminal, negative to black.

What is the recommended amplifier power?

Use an amplifier rated between 10 and 100 watts RMS per channel at 8 ohms. Higher power may cause damage.

Can the grille be painted?

Yes, the grille is paintable. Remove the grille, clean it, and apply thin coats of spray paint. Let dry completely before reattaching.

What is the cutout size?

The required cutout diameter is 7.5 inches (190.5 mm). Use the included template for precise cutting.

Are back boxes required?

Back boxes are not required but are recommended for optimal sound quality and to prevent sound leakage between rooms. They also help meet fire codes.

Can I adjust the tweeter direction?

Yes, the 1-inch pivoting tweeter can be angled up to 15 degrees to direct sound toward the listening area.

How do I remove the grille?

The grille is held magnetically. Gently pull it away from the speaker frame. If needed, use a flat tool to pry.

What should I do if there is no sound?

Check the amplifier is on and the source is playing. Verify speaker wire connections at both ends. Ensure the impedance matches the amplifier. If still no sound, test the speaker with another source.
