How do I assemble the Baby Trend EZ Bouncer?

Refer to the assembly steps in the manual. Start by placing the base frame upright. Connect the backrest bar to the 3-way connectors at corner B until it clicks, then insert the footrest wire at corner C. Ensure the pins click into place. Finally, attach the seat pad, headrest, and toy bar.

What type of batteries does the music/vibration unit require?

The music/vibration unit requires two size C batteries (alkaline recommended for longer life). Batteries are not included.

How do I clean the seat pad and headrest?

Remove the seat pad and headrest from the frame. Ensure all buckles are fastened. Machine wash on gentle delicate cycle with cold water. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Hang to dry. Do not iron or dry clean.

What is the maximum weight limit for the bouncer?

The bouncer is suitable for babies up to 20 lb (9 kg). Stop using once your baby reaches this weight or begins trying to sit up, whichever comes first.

Can the bouncer be used for sleeping?

No, the bouncer is not intended for infant sleep. If your baby falls asleep, remove them as soon as possible and place them on a firm, flat sleep surface such as a crib or bassinet. Never use on soft surfaces like beds or sofas.

How do I attach the toy bar?

Position the toy bar above the bouncer. Insert the ends through the holes in the seat pad and into the corresponding holes on the frame. Push until both sides click into place. To remove, press the release clips and pull up.

How do I adjust the headrest?

Hook the headrest to the bouncer using the adjustable hook and loop strap. Thread it from front to back through the headrest hoop. Adjust by detaching and reattaching the hook at your desired height.

Can I carry the baby in the bouncer?

No, the bouncer is not intended for use as a carrier. Never lift or carry the baby in the bouncer. Always place it on the floor for use.

2) • Reference the 3-Way Connector Diagram below for Steps 2 and 3.

• The 3-Way Connectors will be preassembled at corner A (Fig 2a). Place the Base frame upright on a flat surface with corners B and C of the 3-Way Connectors pointing up (Fig. 2b). The Backrest Bar has 2 square brackets with an opening for the Toy Bar. Be sure that the openings are facing up (Fig 2b). Align the Backrest bar to corner B. Insert both ends into the 3-Way connector until they click into place (Fig 2c).
  • DO NOT Discard the Foam Padding from the Footrest Wire (Fig 2d).
• To Insert the Footrest Wire, align the ends to corner C of the 3-Way Connector. Be sure the small curvature parallels with the surface and the ends of the wire both point up (Fig 2d). Insert the ends into the 3-Way Connectors and be sure that they click into place.
  NOTE: The pins on the 2 Bars must click into position when inserted into the connectors correctly (Fig. 2e).

3) • The completed frame assembly should look exactly as what is shown in (Fig 3).

4) • For safety and assurance check that the screw on the 3-Way Connector is tightened on both sides (Fig. 4).

The music/vibration unit requires two size C batteries (not included). It is recommended that you use alkaline batteries for longer battery life.

CAUTION: To prevent possible battery leakage, be sure to follow the guidelines outlined below.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix different types (alkaline, standard, or rechargeable).
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
  • Always dispose of batteries properly.
• Remove batteries when the bouncer is not in use for long periods of time.
• Never leave exhausted batteries in the unit.
• Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

11) • Secure the seat pad to the frame by buckling the straps on the back of the pad (Fig. 11). Place the bouncer back in the upright position.

12) • Position the toy bar above the bouncer as shown (Fig. 12a). Insert the ends of the toy bar through the corresponding holes in the seat pad and into corresponding holes on the frame. Push in until both sides click into place. To remove, press the release clips and pull up (Fig. 12b).

13) • To hook the Headrest to the Bouncer, use the adjustable hook and loop strap. Thread it from front to back through the headrest hoop. To adjust detach and attach the hook and place it at your desired height (Fig. 13).

14) • If buckled, unbuckle the straps on each side of the seat restraint (Fig. 14a). Carefully place the child in the bouncer seat and buckle the straps (Fig. 14b). Adjust the straps so that the restraint fits the child snugly (Fig. 14c).
