Frequently Asked Questions - BOM4.1.2 OSD Audio

How do I connect the BOM4.1.2 subwoofer to my receiver?
Use the line-level RCA input connecting to the subwoofer pre-out on your receiver. Alternatively, use the speaker-level inputs if your receiver lacks a subwoofer output.
What crossover frequency should I set?
Set the crossover on the subwoofer to match your main speakers. A typical starting point is 80 Hz, then adjust based on room acoustics.
Why is my subwoofer not turning on?
Check that the power cord is securely plugged in and the rear power switch is on. The subwoofer has auto power on/off; it may need a signal to activate. Try increasing the volume or connecting a signal.
What is the phase switch for?
The phase switch (0° or 180°) adjusts the timing of the subwoofer relative to your speakers. Set it to the position that gives the fullest bass at your listening position.
How do I clean the subwoofer?
Unplug the subwoofer. Wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any liquids or cleaners. The grille can be gently vacuumed.
Can I use this subwoofer outdoors?
This subwoofer is designed for indoor use only. Exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures may damage the electronics.
What size room does this subwoofer work best in?
The BOM4.1.2 is suitable for small to medium-sized rooms (up to 300 sq ft) for balanced bass response.
Does the subwoofer come with a warranty?
Yes, OSD Audio typically offers a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. Check your specific region for details.
How do I reset the subwoofer?
Turn off the power switch, unplug for 30 seconds, then plug back in and power on. This can resolve minor electronic glitches.
Can I daisy-chain multiple subwoofers?
This model does not have a dedicated daisy-chain output. Use a Y-splitter from your receiver's subwoofer out to connect multiple subwoofers.
