Frequently Asked Questions - ST7001A Robinhood

How should I clean my Robinhood ST7001A kitchen sink?
Clean the sink with a mild dish soap and water using a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals as they can damage the brushed finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
Can I install a garbage disposal with this sink?
Yes, the Robinhood ST7001A is compatible with standard garbage disposals. The drain opening is 3.5 inches, which fits most disposal units. Ensure that you follow the disposal manufacturer's installation instructions and use a proper mounting flange.
What is the best way to remove hard water stains from the sink?
For hard water stains, mix equal parts white vinegar and water, apply to the stain, let sit for 5-10 minutes, then scrub gently with a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly. Avoid using lemon juice or acidic cleaners in excess as they may affect the finish over time.
Does the sink come with a cutting board or bottom grid?
The sink does not include a cutting board or bottom grid. These accessories can be purchased separately to protect the sink from scratches and provide a convenient work surface. Measure your sink dimensions to ensure a proper fit.
How do I remove scratches from the stainless steel surface?
Minor scratches can be minimized by rubbing gently in the direction of the grain with a fine abrasive pad (e.g., Scotch-Brite) or a stainless steel scratch remover kit. For deep scratches, professional refinishing may be required. Always test on a small area first.
Is the sink top-mount or undermount?
The Robinhood ST7001A is a top-mount (drop-in) sink. It installs into a cutout in the countertop and is held in place by mounting clips. The rim sits on top of the countertop, creating a visible edge. Undermount installation is not supported without modification.
What tools are needed for installation?
Installation requires a jigsaw or hole saw for the cutout, drill, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, silicone caulk, and safety glasses. The sink comes with a cut-out template. Follow the included installation instructions carefully, or hire a professional.
Can I use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners in the sink?
It is not recommended to use bleach or chlorine-based cleaners regularly as they can damage the stainless steel finish and cause discoloration. For disinfecting, use a diluted bleach solution (1 tsp bleach per quart of water) and rinse immediately.
What is the warranty coverage for the Robinhood ST7001A?
The sink comes with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear. Keep your receipt for warranty claims.
How do I prevent the sink from developing a metallic smell?
A metallic smell can occur if the sink is new or if there is a reaction with certain foods. To eliminate it, wash the sink with a paste of baking soda and water, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse. You can also rub the surface with a cut lemon and rinse.
