How do I connect the Monoprice 24278 converter?
Connect an HDMI source (e.g., laptop, gaming console) to the HDMI input port using an HDMI cable. Then connect a VGA display to the VGA output port with a VGA cable. Optionally, connect speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack. Finally, plug the USB power cable into any USB port (5V/1A) to power the converter.

No, the converter is plug-and-play. No drivers or software installation is required. It works with most operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS.
Why is there no audio from the VGA display?
