Thank you for your purchase of Speco Technologies SP6OCT. This speaker is constructed to meet the IP66 rating, so it can be used in outdoor or humid environments. All Speco Technologies' outdoor speakers come with a 5-YEAR warranty against manufacturing defects, so you can be confident in your choice of product.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) For optimal installation, this speaker should be used with the Speco Technologies accessories indicated to the right.
2) Cut an 8.2" diameter hole in your ceiling or ceiling tile.
3) This assembly requires at least 6.5" clearance from the entry point to the top of ceiling.
4) Install all products in the order shown.
5) This speaker has a transformer dial. Select the power setting you'd like for this speaker. It will be easier to select your power before installing the speaker.
6) To install the speaker, you must remove the magnetic grille.
7) Once the grille is off, turn all the L-brackets so that they are locked facing in, and put the speaker into your cutout and mounting bracket. Once through, turn all the L-brackets again so that they are facing out, and using a Phillips screwdriver, turn each of the four until they clamp the bracket and ceiling tile securely.
8) There are a brown and a blue wire coming out of the speaker. The brown wire is the (+) positive wire. Wire this lead to the positive wire running from your amplifier.
9) The blue wire is the (-) negative wire. Wire this to the negative lead from your amplifier.
10) IMPORTANT: Ensure the total power of all wattage taps selected on all speakers running from this amplifier does not exceed 80% of the rated power of the amplifier. (e.g., if the amp rated power is 100W, do not put more than 80W of speakers on it). Speco Technologies is NOT responsible for damage to equipment due to improper installation.

11) IMPORTANT: Ensure you are wiring the proper voltage. Only use 70V taps with a 70V amplifier. Speco Technologies is NOT responsible for damage to equipment due to improper installation.

12) If daisy chaining speakers, ensure speakers remain in phase by keeping all the positives wired together and all the negatives wired together.

13) Replace grille once your speaker is mounted.
