Frequently Asked Questions - SKS-M2J-R PATLITE

How do I wire the SKS-M2J-R signal tower?
Connect the 24V DC power supply to the terminal block. Each tier has separate terminals for light and buzzer. Refer to the wiring diagram in the manual for proper connections.
Can I add additional tiers to this signal tower?
Yes, the SKS series is stackable. You can add up to 5 tiers using optional coupling units. Ensure the total power consumption does not exceed the power supply rating.
What does the model SKS-M2J-R mean?
SKS indicates the series (stackable signal tower). M2J means it has two modules: M (amber) and J (red). R stands for red color. So the tower has amber and red tiers.
Is the buzzer included with this model?
The SKS-M2J-R may include an optional buzzer module. Check the product description or manual to confirm if a buzzer is present. If not, you can purchase a buzzer module separately.
What is the IP rating of this signal tower?
The SKS series typically has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water. It is suitable for indoor use in industrial environments.
How do I change the LED module?
To replace an LED module, first disconnect power. Then unscrew the tier's cover, gently pull out the old LED unit, and plug in the new one. Reassemble carefully. Always use genuine PATLITE spare parts.
What voltage does the SKS-M2J-R require?
It operates on 24V DC. Ensure your power supply is stable and within ±10% of 24V to avoid damage. Do not connect to AC power.
Can I use this signal tower outdoors?
The IP54 rating allows limited outdoor use, but it is not fully waterproof. Avoid direct rain or extreme weather. For outdoor applications, consider using a weatherproof enclosure.
How do I clean the signal tower?
Wipe the housing with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the polycarbonate material.
Where can I find the user manual for this device?
The user manual is available for free download on notice-facile.com. You can also request a translated version by selecting your language and providing your email on the same page.
