USER MANUAL 412VS-B LINE 6
When using your Line 6 cab please be sure to exercise some common sense about volume levels. The Line 6 Spider Valve HD100, Vetta II HD and HD147, for instance, are high-powered heads, and they've got enough juice to fry the speakers of a single 412VS if you really tried. This is especially true in stereo, since the full power is driving each pair of speakers.
Warning Signs
If you see the speakers practically jump out through the speaker grille and they're making rude noises, back off on your amplifier's master volume a wee bit to get things back into the realm of reasonable operational levels. Also, understand that Line 6 can not be liable for replacement of speakers damaged by abuse. The moral of the story is: feel free to crank it up, but do it with a bit of sense.
Care & Feeding
To keep your cabinet looking spanking new, you can use a damp cloth. If it was a particularly dirty gig, a non-abrasive household cleaner such as Formula 409 or Fantastik should help you wipe away any extreme dirt. Spray the cleaner onto a cloth and then use the cloth to clean the cabinet. Also, avoid prolonged exposure to high temperature in direct sunlight (like under the rear windshield of your 1985 Toyota Supra hatchback).
Casters
Your 412VS includes removable casters. If you're stacking a couple cabs on top of each other, make sure and turn the casters on the top cab inward so they can fit into the bottom cab's caster cups. To prevent cabinet movement, you might also want to remove the casters from the bottom cab.
Setting Up & Getting Help
See the diagrams on back as well as your amplifier's User Manual for details on connections and operation. You can run your cab mono at two different impdedances – 4 ohms or 16 ohms. Be sure you've set the switch correctly and plugged into the correct jack. Also, be sure to use only heavy gauge unshielded cables for speaker cabling (don't use guitar cables). And, in the event that you're mystified by some bit of esoterica we've failed to cover in the written documentation, you can always reach out and touch our helpful Customer Support staff through any of the following modern messaging means: Telephone (818) 575-3600 weekdays, 8am-5pm Pacific Time.
