Frequently Asked Questions - PMX464 Pyle

How do I set up the turntable?
Place the turntable on a stable, level surface. Connect the power adapter to the turntable and wall outlet. Remove the shipping screw from the tonearm and balance the tonearm according to the manual. Place a record on the platter and select the desired speed (33 or 45 RPM).
Why is there no sound coming from the speakers?
Ensure the turntable is powered on and the volume is turned up. Check that the stylus (needle) is properly seated and not broken. For built-in speakers, make sure the turntable is not set to 'Phono' output mode if you are using the internal speakers. If using external speakers, verify RCA connections are secure.
How do I switch between 33 and 45 RPM?
Locate the speed selector switch near the platter. Slide it to 33 for most LPs or to 45 for singles. Ensure the turntable is stopped before switching speed to avoid damaging the vinyl.
Can I connect the turntable to external speakers?
Yes. The turntable has RCA line outputs. Connect these to an external amplifier, receiver, or powered speakers. For best sound quality, use the 'Phono' input on a receiver if available, or set the turntable to 'Line' mode if it has a switch.
How do I record vinyl to my computer?
Use the built-in USB port. Connect a USB cable from the turntable to your computer. Install the included Audacity software (or any recording software) and select the turntable as the input device. Play the record and record the audio.
Why is the turntable skipping?
Skipping can be caused by a dirty or worn stylus, a dusty record, or an unbalanced tonearm. Clean the stylus with a soft brush, clean the record with an anti-static cloth, and ensure the tonearm counterweight is properly adjusted per the manual.
How do I replace the stylus?
Removing the old stylus: gently pull the stylus forward and down. Insert the new stylus by aligning it with the cartridge and pushing upward until it clicks. Ensure the stylus is securely seated before playing records.
What should I do if the turntable does not spin?
Check the power connection and ensure the turntable is turned on. Make sure the belt is properly attached to both the motor pulley and the platter. If the belt is stretched or broken, replace it.
How do I clean the turntable?
Clean the dust cover with a soft, damp cloth. Use a stylus brush to gently clean the needle from back to front. Wipe the platter and base with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
What records can I play on this turntable?
This turntable plays 33 1/3 and 45 RPM vinyl records. It is compatible with standard 7-inch and 12-inch records. Do not attempt to play 78 RPM records as they require a different stylus.
