Frequently Asked Questions - NAPOLI TAURUS

How do I descale my Taurus Napoli coffee maker?
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar (or use a commercial descaling solution) and fill the water tank. Run a brew cycle without coffee. Repeat with fresh water to rinse. Descaling should be done every 2-3 months depending on water hardness.
Why is my coffee maker not turning on?
Check that the power cord is properly plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the on/off switch is pressed. If still not working, try a different outlet. If the issue persists, contact Taurus customer service.
Can I use paper filters with this machine?
Yes, the Taurus Napoli is compatible with both a permanent filter and standard size #4 paper filters. Using paper filters can make cleanup easier and produce a cleaner cup of coffee.
How many cups of coffee can I make at once?
The water tank holds up to 1.25 liters, which yields approximately 10 cups of coffee (125 ml per cup). You can brew less by using less water.
Why is my coffee weak or watery?
Possible causes: using too little coffee grounds, grinding coffee too coarsely, or not tamping (if using a basket). For drip coffee, use 1-2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 180 ml of water. Adjust to taste.
How do I clean the carafe and filter basket?
The glass carafe and removable filter basket are dishwasher safe (top rack only). Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Do not immerse the base in water.
The coffee maker leaks water from the bottom. What should I do?
Check if the water tank or carafe is cracked. Ensure the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. Also verify that the anti-drip valve is not blocked. If leaking persists, contact service.
Can I use the coffee maker without the carafe?
No, the anti-drip system requires the carafe to be in place. If you remove the carafe during brewing, the machine will stop dispensing coffee but will not shut off completely. For safety, always use the carafe.
How long does the keep warm function last?
The Taurus Napoli automatically keeps the coffee warm for approximately 40 minutes after brewing. After that, the machine turns off to save energy. You can manually turn it off earlier.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Replacement parts such as the glass carafe, filter basket, and water tank can be ordered from Taurus official website or authorized service centers. Use the model number NAPOLI to find compatible parts.
