Thank you for purchasing Fakir Teatime Tea maker Machine which has been designed and manufactured to give you many years of trouble-free service.
You may already be familiar with using a similar product, but do please take time to read these instructions - they have been written to ensure you get the very best from your purchase.
Safety is important
For yours and others safety please read the instructions before using the appliance. Please keep this instruction in a safe place for the further use. If you pass the appliance on, pass on the instructions too. Remove all packaging, but keep it until you are satisfied that the appliance is working.
Important Safeguards
When use electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following;
- Before operating this appliance, please read the instruction manual first.
- Before operating your appliance, make sure the power rating of your appliance does in fact match that of your electrical system.
- Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes.
- Keep your appliances away from and out of reach of the children.
- Plug your device to a grounded socket without fail. To prevent harming your appliance do not use extension cords that supply insufficient current. When using extension cords, make sure to use grounded socket.
- Do not place tea maker over or near direct heat sources such as stove, heating oven, etc.
- Ensure that the appliance is placed on a firm and flat surface. Do not put it on the edge of a table or bench. The least blow or knock may overturn it. Do not forget that it may be full of hot water.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table counter or touch any other appliances.
- Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your device. Do not carry your appliance by holding from the cord. To unplug the tea maker, hold the plug and never pull by the cord.
- Never interfere with your appliance except for the purposes of cleaning and maintenance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Call immediately an authorized Fakir Service.

Always hold your appliance by its handle, since its other surfaces may be hot.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before cleaning the appliance.
- Use tea maker with its power base unit only. Do not place it on those units belonging to any other appliance.
- Avoid contact with steam to be ejected from spout when the water is boiling, and do not let children use the appliance.
- The main switch must be in the position "0", when the kettle is empty or when not in use.
- When boiling / keep warm switched on, there should be the teapot or teapot / kettle lid placed on the kettle. Otherwise energy saying function will be delayed.
- The water should be added in to the kettle between maximum (1,9 lt) and minimum (0,5 lt) levels.
- These levels were marked in the kettle. If the water level exceeds 1,9 lt, then the water will flow. Make sure the water level does not reduce under minimum level. If the water level reduces in the kettle, please add some more water.
- Never immerse the kettle and power base unit in water or other liquids, nor wash in a dishwasher, nor use in bathroom or any other places with a high rate of moisture.
- When filling with water remove the appliance from its power unit base.
- Never put anything into the kettle other than water.
- Never leave the power base unit and electrical connection ends of your device in a damp state. If wetted, unplug before drying and not operate your appliance before having it dried completely.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Your tea maker is a very practical appliance designed to steep classical tea.
- You can also use this appliance as a kettle.

WARNING!
Do not turn the switch on when the kettle is empty or the water level is below the minimum level of 0,5 liter. The switch must be turned off when the water contained in the kettle is completely finished.

5- Usage:
This is a very practical appliance for steering the tea. When starts operating, it boils the water in a short time and automatically reduces the energy wastage to %90 and keeps the water warm. In this case, the appliance boils the water in min level and prevents overmuch evaporation, keeps the tea warm in the teapot, keeps energy safe. When adding the water into the kettle, for boiling the water quickly boiling/keep warm switch must be ON. After the water boils, the heating becomes to min level and keeps the water warm. In other meaning, after adding some water in to the kettle, switch boiling / keep warm switch and main switch ON position, after the tea service over, you need to switch OFF only the main switch. After you pushed the keep warm / boiling switch; the appliance automatically keeps the water and tea warm.
Please do not switch ON the main switch without any water in the kettle or if the water is under min level. If there is no water left in the kettle, please turn off the main switch. In this kind of situations, for the security reasons the appliance is protected by 2 pcs of thermostat.
This appliance is also can be used as a kettle. In this case, the top part of the appliance can be covered by a kettle cover which is given with the appliance. Because being in energy safe mode, the kettle keeps the warm safe and helps you to find warm water in every period.
Preparing the tea: Plug the appliance in to the wall socket. When not using the appliance, please make sure that you switched OFF the main switch.
Pour the water between min and max levels depending to the tea quantity that you want to steer. Place the kettle on to the power base. Open the teapot lid, replace the tea filter. Put some tea in to the filter and pour some water on the tea and then place the filter into the teapot. Slide the main switch to (I) and boiling / keep warm switch to ( ) position. The red pilot light on the handle turns ON and the water starts to heat. Depending to the water quantity, water start boiling in 3-8 minutes time and boiling / keep warm switch goes on ( ) position and starts to keep the water and tea warm. After that, the red light turns OFF and the green light turns ON. You could steer the tea with boiled water and then place the teapot top of the kettle. If necessary, you could add some water in to the kettle. If you add some more water, you need to switch ON the boiling / keep warm switch.
Heating the water: This appliance is also used as kettle. Pour some water in to the kettle and place it on to the power base and then is covered by the kettle / teapot lid. Push the main switch and boiling / keep warm switch. After the appliance boils the water quickly, it starts to keep warm the water. If you add some more water, you need to slide the boiling / keep warm switch to ( ) position.
Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance:
After you steer the tea or boil the water, you should switch the main switch OFF.
You could clean the teapot and filter by hand or in the dishwasher. Empty the water inside of the kettle and then clean with dry or damp cloth. Never try to clean the kettle under running water.
In a period of time, there might be some scale occurs
on the heating element and this reduces the performance of your appliance. In this case, after boiling some water; you need to switch the main and boiling / keep warm switch OFF. After that boil the water with some vinegar in max capacity water level, then pour the water. If the scale is not cleaned well, you need to do this continuously. But you need to make sure that you clean inside of the kettle well in every descale step.
