Frequently Asked Questions - Salco 90410 KORONA

How do I fill the water tank?
Disconnect the iron from the mains. Set the steam control to 0. Open the water inlet, hold the iron slanted, and fill with fresh tap water up to the MAX mark. Use distilled water to reduce calcification.
What type of water should I use?
Use fresh tap water or distilled water. Do not add any additives like vinegar or descalers, as they may damage the iron.
How do I use the power steam boost?
Set the temperature to high (••• or MAX). Press the power steam button every 5–10 seconds for a powerful steam burst. For vertical steaming, hold the iron upright and press the button in intervals.
Why is water dripping from the soleplate?
This usually happens if the temperature setting is too low. Increase the temperature or wait a few seconds after pressing the power steam button to allow the soleplate to heat up.
How do I clean the iron?
Use the self-cleaning function every 2 weeks: fill the tank, heat to maximum, unplug, hold over a sink, set steam to max, and sway the iron to flush out dirt. Wipe the soleplate with a soft cloth.
Can I use the iron without steam?
Yes, for dry ironing set the steam control to 0. Slightly damp clothes are easier to iron than fully dry ones.
What should I do if the iron produces smoke on first use?
Some smoke may occur during initial use. This is normal and stops shortly. Ensure proper ventilation.
How should I store the iron?
After each use, unplug, let it cool, empty the water tank, set steam to 0, and store the iron upright in a clean, dry place away from children.
