Please note the following instructions when using the appliance:

■ The appliance is designed for domestic use only.
■ Never use the appliance in the bath, shower or over a wash basin filled with water; nor should it be operated with wet hands.

■ Do not immerse the appliance in water or let it come into contact with water, even during cleaning.
If the appliance is used in the bathroom, it is essential that you unplug it after use, as any water close to the appliance can still pose a hazard, even if the appliance is switched off.
If not already in use, installing a residual current-operated protective device (RCD) is recommended for additional protection with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bathroom. Ask your plumber for advice.

■ Never cover the appliance, for example with a towel.

■ The appliance can become very hot. Never leave your hair between the clip and styling attachment for more than a few seconds.

■ The styling attachment with clip becomes very hot in usage. Do not touch it with your bare hands. Avoid any contact of the skin with the hot parts. Do not allow the styling attachment to come into contact with your face, neck or head.

■ Unplug the appliance after use. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cord. Place the appliance on a heat resistant surface and allow it to cool.

■ Never use the appliance if it or the power cord is visibly damaged.

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service centre or a similarly qualified person to avoid any danger of electrical shock.

- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

The appliance should not be used by the following people, including children: those with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities and also those with a lack of experience and knowledge. This does not apply to the latter if they were instructed in the use of the appliance or if they use it under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety. Children should always be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
■ Never open the appliance under any circumstance. No warranty claims are accepted for damage caused by improper handling.
- Check if the mains voltage on the type plate (on the handle of the appliance) corresponds to your local mains supply. The only way to disconnect the appliance from the mains is to unplug it.
■ Never wrap the power cord around the appliance.

Special Features

■ Ceramic coated styling attachment with tourmaline and nano silver.
■ 19 mm instant heat curling tongs.
■ Automatically switches off after about 60 minutes.
■ 3m cable with swivel cord guarantees freedom of movement when styling.

The appliance can be set to temperatures of between 140 °C and a maximum of 180 °C. It reaches approximately 100 °C in 60 seconds and has a constant temperature after 2 minutes, depending on the setting.

The appliance is equipped with an automatic voltage switch. It can be used anywhere in the world at either 120 V and 240 V.

To protect from overheating, your hairstyler switches itself off after about 60 minutes.

You can use your appliance on dry or towel-dry hair.

Diamond Blond Shine Activator:

The exclusive coating on the heating unit ensures natural shine, sensational volume, shimmering light reflections and lively radiance especially for blonde, lightened and fine hair.

The styling attachment is especially gentle to hair due to its ceramic-tourmaline-nanosilver coating.

Ceramic ensures constantly high temperature and even heat distribution. The heat is distributed evenly to ensure hair sections are fully protected.

Tourmaline generates negative ions in a natural way – it prevents frizz, static charging and preserves the natural moisture of the hair.

Nano silver prevents the growth of bacteria.

Styling curls

Your appliance styles glamorous curls and ringlets with spectacular bounce and flexible hold.

Caution

■ The styling attachment with clip B becomes very hot. Do not touch it with your bare hands. Avoid any contact between the skin and the hot parts. Do not allow the styling attachment to come into contact with your face, neck or head.

■ Place the appliance on a solid, flat, heat resistant surface. Do not place the appliance on any soft or uneven surfaces such as carpets, rugs or bedding and never cover.

1 Place the appliance on the stand G.
2 Plug the power cord J into the wall socket.
3 Set the temperature level with the temperature adjustment wheel H.

4 Switch on the appliance by pressing the On button E.

- Mode indicator LED lights up and starts flashing until it reaches the set temperature. - As soon as mode indicator LED is continuous lighting the unit is ready to use. - Mode indicator LED is also flashing when set temperature will be changed during operation until new set temperature (higher or lower) is reached.

5 Press and hold down lever C. Fix the end of the section of hair onto styling attachment with clip B, place the section under the clip and release the lever.
6 Wrap the section of hair around the styling attachment with clip towards your head.
7 After 5 to 10 seconds, press down lever Ⓐ to open the clip and remove the styling attachment from the hair.

Note

■ Repeat the procedure section by section.

8 Switch off the appliance by pressing the Off button ☐.
- Mode indicator LED 📁 disappears.
9 Unplug the power cord J from the wall socket.

Caution

■ Never wind the power cord around the appliance, as this can result in damage. Check the power cord and the appliance regularly for visible damage.
■ Place the appliance on a heat resistant surface and allow it to cool.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

Cleaning and care

1 Turn the appliance off by pressing Off button and unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2 Before cleaning, allow the appliance to cool completely. The appliance can become very hot and may take up to 45 minutes to cool.
3 Clean the appliance and the styling attachment with clipB only with a damp, soft cloth.

Caution

■ Never put the appliance or power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not use any cleaning agents.

Note

■ Before using the appliance after cleaning, dry all parts carefully using a dry soft towel.

Storage

If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long period of time, please store it carefully.

Make sure that it is unplugged, has completely cooled and is completely dry.

Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.

Keep it in a cool, dry place.

Make sure that the appliance is kept out of the reach of children.

Environmental note

This product has been manufactured with high quality parts and materials which can be reused and are suitable for recycling.

Therefore, do not dispose the product with normal domestic waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indicated by this symbol on the product, in the operating manual and on the packaging.
