Frequently Asked Questions - 16310230 Melissa

What types of fondue can I make with this Melissa fondue set?
You can prepare cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, oil fondue (for meat), or broth fondue (for vegetables and seafood). The adjustable temperature control allows you to select the ideal heat for each type.
How do I clean the fondue pot?
Allow the pot to cool completely. Wash the pot and forks with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. The pot may be dishwasher safe (check the manual). Never immerse the base in water or any liquid; wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
Can I use metal utensils on the non-stick pot?
It is recommended to use wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. The fondue forks provided are designed for dipping and should not scrape the pot.
What is the maximum capacity of the fondue pot?
The pot typically holds about 1.2 to 1.5 liters, suitable for 4-6 people. Do not overfill to prevent splattering.
How do I adjust the temperature?
Turn the thermostat knob to the desired setting. An indicator light shows when the appliance is heating. For oil fondue, set to high; for cheese or chocolate, use a lower setting.
Does the fondue set have an automatic shut-off?
Yes, it includes overheat protection that turns the unit off if it gets too hot. However, it does not have a timer; always monitor while in use.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Unplug immediately. A replacement cord can be ordered from the manufacturer. For safety, have a qualified technician replace it; do not attempt if not experienced.
How many forks come with the set?
The set includes 6 to 8 color-coded fondue forks so guests can keep track of their own.
Can I use the fondue set for raclette?
No, this is a fondue set only. For raclette, you need a raclette grill or separate appliance.
Where can I find spare parts or replacement accessories?
Visit the Melissa official website or contact customer service. Common spare parts include the pot, forks, and base unit. Provide your model number 16310230.
