How do I set the temperature on my Scancool SD 76 E freezer?

Use the temperature control dial inside the freezer. Turn it to the desired setting: 1 for warmer (around -18°C) and 7 for colder (around -22°C). Wait 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.

What should I do if the freezer does not start?

Check the power cord connection, ensure the outlet is working, and verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped. If the problem persists, contact a qualified technician.

How often should I defrost the freezer?

The Scancool SD 76 E features Frost-Free technology, so manual defrosting is not required. However, if ice builds up due to frequent door openings, defrost when the ice layer exceeds 5 mm.

Can I change the door opening direction?

Yes, the door is reversible. Follow the instructions in the manual: remove the hinge covers, unscrew the hinges, and reattach them on the opposite side. You may need a screwdriver and a wrench.

What is the maximum amount of food I can freeze in 24 hours?

The freezer has a freezing capacity of 12 kg per 24 hours. Do not exceed this amount to maintain proper freezing performance.

The freezer is making unusual noises. Is this normal?

Some sounds are normal: gurgling from refrigerant flow, clicking from the compressor, or cracking from ice expansion. However, loud or persistent noises may indicate a problem. Check if the freezer is level and stable.

How do I clean the freezer interior?

Unplug the unit. Remove all food and shelves. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly before plugging back.

What should I do during a power failure?

Keep the freezer closed. A fully loaded freezer will keep food frozen for about 24-48 hours. If power returns within that time, food is safe. Check temperature with a thermometer.

Where can I find the model number and serial number?

The rating plate is located inside the freezer, usually on the left wall near the door. It contains the model (SD 76 E), serial number, and electrical specifications.

How do I replace the interior light bulb?

The Scancool SD 76 E uses an LED light. If it fails, contact customer service for replacement, as LED modules are not user-serviceable. Unplug the freezer before any inspection.

TRANSPORTATION AND INSTALLATION

Place on level floor and remove the bottom packing, in order to decrease the shock and noise.

The angle between the compartment body and ground should be no more than 45^ . Enough space should be left between the freeze and the wall for ventilation.

Place the freezer away from heat source and do not expose to direct sunshine.

Do not install where there is moisture or where it can easily be splashed by water.

Do not place the freezer in environment prone to freezing.

The appliance should not be used in open air and should not be exposed to rain.

ADJUSTMENT AND RUNNING

Adjustment of temperature: The storing temperature can be adjusted by the thermostat of the compartment. The thermostat should be adjusted according to different environment temperature and the food by rotating the knob of the thermostat. The knob rotates clockwise from "1" to "7" (or direction arc) and the inside temperature turns down in summer (anti-clockwise rotation) and up in winter (clockwise rotation). It is usually fixed to a certain point before leaving the factory. Do not adjust too often or touch the other parts.

Trial running: plug in and wait. The marked drop in temperature within half an hour indicates that the freezer works properly.

The compressor should be left to run for a period of time (6 hours in summer 4 hours in winter) before putting the foodin.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The freezer should use a single 3-pin socket with (13A) fuse. A multi -plug outlet should not be used.

You should install a suitable automatic voltage regulator not less than 500w when the voltage is outside the range from 187V to 242V.

The sockets of the freezer should be connected to stable fixed connection. Under no circumstance should the wiring be connected to such facilities as water pipe, gas pipe and so on.

Once power is cut off, wait for at least 5 minutes before plugging in again to avoid damaging the compressor or the system.

Do not put combustible, explosive or volatile dangerous articles, heavily corrosive acid or alkali of liquid in glassware into the freezer.

Children should be kept away from the freezer to avoid damage to the inner container or any accidents being incurred

FREEZING METHODS

Do not put too much food into the freezer or exceed the loading line.

Proper space should be allowed between foods to ensure cooling air circulation.

Never use corrosive detergent, hot water, or washing power to clean the freezer.

Do not use water to scour the freezer. Do not use hard brushes or wire brushes to clean the freezer.

Do not use metal or sharp tools for defrosting.

Do not use electric heaters to heat up and defrost.

The green lamp is a power indicating lamp. When the power is on, the lamp will be on.
