Frequently Asked Questions - SHMSB 300 A1 SILVERCREST

How do I assemble the hand blender?
Attach the desired accessory (blending shaft or whisk) to the motor unit by aligning the slots and twisting until it locks into place. Ensure the device is unplugged during assembly.
Can I blend hot liquids?
It is not recommended to blend hot liquids directly in the pot. Allow liquids to cool to at least 60°C before blending to avoid splashing and damage to the motor.
How to clean the blending shaft?
Detach the shaft from the motor unit and rinse under running water. Use a mild detergent and a soft sponge. The shaft is dishwasher safe; place it on the top rack.
What does the turbo button do?
The turbo button provides maximum speed for short bursts, useful for crushing ice or blending tough ingredients. Press and hold the button while operating.
Is the blender suitable for crushing ice?
Yes, the blender can crush ice when using the turbo function. However, do not overload the blending cup and break larger ice cubes into smaller pieces first.
How to change speed?
Slide the speed control switch on the handle to the desired setting. Typically, position 1 for low speed and position 2 for high speed. The turbo button overrides the setting.
What to do if the motor stops working?
Check if the device is properly plugged in. If the motor has overheated, the overheat protection may have tripped. Let it cool for 10 minutes before restarting. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
Can I use the blender in a non-stick pot?
Yes, but ensure the blender shaft does not scratch the surface. Submerge only the lower part of the shaft and keep it away from the pot's sides and bottom.
How do I store the blender?
After cleaning and drying, store the motor unit and accessories in a dry place. Use the storage hook (if provided) or a drawer to keep the cord tidy.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as blending shafts and whisks can be ordered from SilverCrest customer service or through the manufacturer's website. Use the model number SHMSB 300 A1 when ordering.
