Before use

The massage cushion comes with a screw located on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during shipment. The screw must be removed before the first use to allow the unit to function properly. Use the provided allen wrench to counter clockwise properly remove the screw. Properly dispose the screw. WARNING! Failure to remove screw may cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.

Connect the adaptor to the unit by plugging the two jacket together. Then plug the adaptor into a 230 volt AC outlet. The massage cushion has the following programmes to choose from the remote control:

Important! If you have blood circulation problems or reduced sensibility, for example if you have diabetes or neck injury, you should not use the body massage before consulting your doctor. Persons with pacemaker should not use the body massage. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before use. The body massage does not compensate medical treatment. At continuous pain and ache you should always contact medical expertise.

For use at home or office

OBH Nordica's Shiatsu massage cushion incorporates a unique strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps to secure. Do also secure the upper straps if possible. Your massage cushion will firmly stay in place! By all means, you can also just put the cushion in a chair or sofa if you prefer. The massage cushion is not intended for use in cars.

Please note: The massager is not recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the slipper may damage the wood. Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.

Switch on/off (POWER)

To turn on the massage functions, first press the POWER button. The L.E.D. indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, simply press the button again. The L.E.D. indicator will blink while the dual massage mechanism returns to its lowest point and then it will turn off.

Demo massage (DEMO)

For a brief demonstration of the features of the Shiatsu massage cushion, press the Demo button. The unit will complete one cycle combining Shiatsu, rolling and vibration massage. Once complete, the unit automatically turns off.

Massge for shoulders (SHOULDER)

This function massages your shoulders with deep pressure and circular moves. Adjust the massage heads with the arrows (ADJUST) to fit your length.

Heat function (HEAT)

For soothing heat when massage is on, simply press the heat button. To deselect, press the button again. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on if massage is not selected.

Shiatsu massage

Shiatsu is a Japanese massage technique which means a deep kneading circular massage. Choose from 3 preset programs where the Shiatsu massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back. To select a program, simply press the button and the L.E.D. will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and press another button.

Spot massage (SPOT)

While the unit is in Shiatsu massage mode, press either up or down button to stop and focus the Shiatsu action in one place. You may adjust the mechanism position by holding down either up or down button until the desired position is reached. When you let go of the button the massager stops in that place.

Rolling massage (ROLLING)

Rolling is like two hands or thumbs working up and down along your spine. Choose from 3 preset programs where the Rolling massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back. FULL = whole back, UPPER = upper back and LOWER = lower back. To select a program, simply press the button and the L.E.D. will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again or press another button.

Adjustment of width (WIDTH)

While the unit is in Rolling massage, one can adjust the distance between the massage heads. This adjustment changes the area that is massaged along your spine. With each press, the massage heads will move to the next available position.

CAUTION!

To avoid pinching do not lean on the dual massage mechanism in the cushion when adjusting your body position. Do not jam or force any part of your body in the moving massage mechanism.

The massage cushion Shiatsu and Rolling massage is only to be used at the back.

If the fabric or material covering the massage mechanism becomes torn or damaged, discontinue use.

Only gentle force should be exerted against the unit in order to eliminate any/all risk of injury.

Soften the massage force by placing a towel between yourself and the unit.

Important! The cushion will auto shut off after 15 minutes. This because the massage cushion should not be used for more than 15 minutes at a time. After a 15 minutes treatment we recommend a rest for at least 15 minutes Note! The moving dual massage mechanism always “parks” or finishes in its lowest position. It will continue to this position after the power has been turned off.

Cleaning and maintenance

Place the massager in its box or in a safe dry place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed object that might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Pull the plug before cleaning. The massager can be cleaned with a damp clot. After dry with a towel. Water or other liquids can not come in contact with the massager. Never use any kind of detergent when cleaning.

Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

Warranty

Claims according to current law. Cash receipt with purchase date shall be enclosed with any claims. When raising a claim the appliance must be returned to the store of purchase.
