How do I turn on the Eldom RW20 styler?

Plug in the appliance, then press the on/off switch (6). The LCD display will light up and show 'LO', then the temperature will increase to about 160°C. You can adjust the temperature using the increase (5) and decrease (7) buttons.

What temperature should I use for my hair?

The temperature can be set between 120°C and 200°C. For fine or damaged hair, use a lower temperature (e.g., 120-150°C). For thick or coarse hair, higher temperatures (up to 200°C) are suitable. Start low and increase if needed.

Can I use the styler on wet hair?

Yes, the appliance can be used on slightly wet or dry hair. Make sure hair is clean and combed before use. Do not use on soaking wet hair.

How do I clean the Eldom RW20?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. Do not use strong cleaning agents or immerse the appliance in water.

Why does the temperature change during use?

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE

• make sure that the power cable (4) has no contact with the appliance
• insert the power cable into the socket
• after switching the appliance on by pressing the on/off switch (6) the LCD display (8) will glow and "LO" notice will appear, then the temperature indication changes until the appliance reaches about 160°C. By pressing (5) and (7) the temperature can be changed in the range 120-200°C.
• after use press the on/off switch (6) and remove the power cable from the socket
• wait until the appliance cools down completely before putting it away

The appliance remembers the last temperature set. After another switching on the hair straightener reaches the last temperature set by the user.

The temperature set by the user usually changes (decreases) in contact with wet hair. The appliance systematically corrects the temperature and its changes and current state are visible on the LCD display (8).

OPERATION

• the appliance is intended for hair straightening
• the hair must be combed, clean, slightly wet or dry
• the appliance cannot be used for artificial hair
• separate your hair into strands of several centimeters, put it between the plates (3) and clamp it firmly, then move the appliance slowly from the roots towards the hair tips
• ceramic coat of the plates (3) protects the hair against excessive temperature owing to smooth heat distribution
• the hair should not be kept in the straightener for more than 20 seconds
• The hair should be combed after having been cooled down

CLEANING AND PRESERVATION

• before cleaning remove the power cable from the socket
• the appliance cannot be submersed in water
• do not use any cleansing agents which are strong and damage the surface
• wipe the housing with a moistened cloth

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• before using the appliance for the first time please read carefully this operating manual
• the appliance should be connected to sockets compliant with current parameters given on the housing
• for additional protection, installation of a faulty-current protection unit with an activation power rating of not more than 30mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom; ask an electrician for advice

• when used in the bathroom, the appliance must be disconnected after use because water proximity is dangerous even if the appliance is switched off
• the appliance must not be submersed in water or sprayed with water
• the appliance must not be left switched on unsupervised
• before putting the appliance away wait until it cools down
• the power cable and the whole appliance should be regularly checked for damages; the appliance cannot be switched on if any damages have been found
