Frequently Asked Questions - 243-027 Exido

How do I use the Exido 243-027 waffle maker for the first time?
Before first use, wipe the plates with a damp cloth and let dry. Preheat the waffle maker with the lid closed for about 5 minutes until the ready light indicates it's hot. Lightly grease the plates, pour batter, close lid, and cook until golden brown.
What type of batter works best?
Standard waffle batter works well. Avoid overfilling; pour about 1/2 cup (120 ml) onto the center of the lower plate.
How can I adjust the browning level?
The waffle maker has an adjustable thermostat. Turn the dial to a higher setting for darker waffles and lower for lighter waffles.
Why does the ready light turn off and on during cooking?
This is normal. The thermostat cycles to maintain the set temperature. The light may go off when the heating element is off and on again when it needs to reheat.
Can I use metal utensils on the non-stick plates?
No, do not use metal utensils as they may scratch the non-stick coating. Use silicone, wooden, or plastic utensils.
How do I clean the waffle maker?
Unplug and let it cool completely. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth or paper towel. Do not immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners. For stuck-on batter, use a soft brush.
What should I do if the waffle sticks to the plates?
Ensure the plates are greased before each use. If sticking persists, check if the non-stick coating is damaged. Lightly brush with oil after each batch.
Does the waffle maker have an automatic shut-off?
No, this model does not have an auto shut-off. Always turn off and unplug after use, and never leave unattended while operating.
What is the warranty period for Exido 243-027?
Exido typically offers a 2-year warranty. Check your local retailer or the user manual for specific warranty terms.
Where can I find the user manual?
The user manual is included in the box. You can also download a free PDF from the manufacturer's website or from manual repositories like notice-facile.com.
