How do I insert the SIM card and microSD card?

Remove the back cover and battery. Insert the SIM cards into the slots with the gold contacts facing down. Insert the microSD card into the dedicated slot. Replace the battery and back cover.

The phone won't turn on. What should I check?

Ensure the battery is charged and properly inserted. Try a different charger or cable. If still not working, perform a reset by removing and reinserting the battery.

How can I transfer contacts from my old phone?

You can transfer contacts via Bluetooth or SIM card. Save contacts to SIM on old phone, then insert SIM into JEP-1215 and copy contacts to phone memory.

How do I set an alarm?

Go to Menu > Alarms. Select an alarm slot, set the time, repeat days, and alarm tone. Press Save to activate.

Why is the battery draining quickly?

Close unused apps, reduce screen brightness, disable Bluetooth when not in use, and check for network signal strength. If problem persists, replace battery.

Can I use the phone as a modem?

This phone does not support tethering. It is designed for basic calls and messages only.

The screen is frozen. What should I do?

Remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, then reinsert and restart the phone. If frequent, check for software issues.

How do I clean the phone?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Avoid liquids and abrasives. Do not clean while charging.

Is the phone waterproof?

No, the JEP-1215 is not waterproof. Keep away from water and moisture.

General Safety Instructions

Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.

• Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold, dusty or humid, or where it is exposed to strong magnetic fields, mechanical vibrations or long periods of sunshine.
• Heat: Do not leave the unit near any sources of heat such as stoves, ovens or other appliances (including amplifiers).
• Interference: Do not use the product near electronic devices that use radio frequency signals. Do not use it in hospitals or near medial equipment. Avoid using the product within a 15cm range of a pacemaker.

- Water: Ensure that this product does not get wet, protect it from water splashes. Do not use it with wet hands, do not immerse it in water. Do not turn it on if it is wet.

- Battery charger: Only use the charger that is supplied with this product. Do not touch the USB cable of the battery charger with wet hands. Do not bend or otherwise damage the cable. Getting Started

Before First Use

• Unpack the product but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your new mobile phone is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Unwind the charger cable to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use the charger if it or the cable are damaged. In case of damage, contact our after sales support line for advice on examination, repair or return of the damaged product
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the features and operating principles of your new mobile phone. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions on the previous pages.

Inserting the SIM Card(s) and Battery

• To remove the back cover of the phone, put your fingernails at the base of the phone, inbetween the body and the back cover of the phone. Push the centre of the back cover until the body of the phone comes lose.
• Remove the battery from the compartment (if it is in place).
• Insert your SIM card(s) and Micro SD card in the allocated spaces underneath the battery (see page 6).
• Once the SIM cards and Micro SD memory card is securely in place, secure the battery (supplied) back into the phone, making sure to align the pins with the contacts.
• Replace the back cover.

Charging the Battery

The battery has been partially charged at the factory. It is recommended that the battery is fully charged before first use. To charge:

• Connect the battery charger to the mobile phone.
• Insert the plug of the battery charger into a power outlet and turn the outlet on.
• When the phone indicates that it is fully charged (the battery status icon is located in the top right corner of the display), switch the power outlet off and disconnect it from the power outlet. Unplug your phone from the charger.

Follow the above charging procedures when your device indicates a low battery charge.

Basic Operations

Turning On

- Press and hold the End/Power [ ⏻ ] button to turn on the mobile phone.

Display Screen

- Shortly after the phone is turned on, the screen will display several icons indicating signal strength, SIM card(s) in use, sound mode, Bluetooth connection, keypad lock, battery status, date, time etc., as illustrated on the right. - The screen will turn off automatically after a period of inactivity. Press any button to reactivate the screen.

Keypad Lock

• When the keypad is locked, the "Unlock" icon will be located in the bottom left corner of the display screen.
• To unlock the keyboard, press the Left selection button, then press [ * ].

Silent Mode

- Press and hold the [ # ] Hash button to switch the phone on Silent, Vibration and Normal mode; press and hold this button again to switch to a different Mode.

Dual SIM Operation

- This phone can function with two SIM cards. If you are using two SIM cards, you will need to select a SIM card to use before you make a call or send a message. You will also need to choose which SIM card will use data.

Date and Time Settings

• See page 14 for how to set the date and time.

Menu

- Press the Left selection button to access the Main Menu (menu operation instructions start on page 10).

Recorder

- Open this menu to view recorded sound files. Select the Options menu to Start Recording or to Record File List. Select storage to choose the storage and File format to select the desired file format.

Names

- Press the Right selection button to quickly access the Contacts.

Making a Call

Use the number buttons to dial the phone number you want to call including country and area code if necessary, then press the Call button. You will be prompted to select which SIM card you want to make the call on.

Answering a Call

- When you are receiving a phone call, press the Call button to answer.

Ending / Rejecting a Call

- Press the End/Power [ ⏻ ] button to end or reject a phone call.

Hands-Free Operation

• Plug the headphones and microphone cable into the 3.5mm headphone port. When the phone rings, the ring tone will be heard through the earphones. When the headphones are connected, a headphone icon will appear on the top of the screen.
• Press the Call button to answer a call, then speak into the microphone on the cable. Press the End/Power [⏻] button to end a call.

Viewing a Missed Call

- The Missed Call icon will appear when you have a missed call.

- To view a missed call, press the Left selection button to display the phone number of the missed call. Press the button again to select Details and view the call details including: date and time of the call, the phone number and on which SIM the call came through on.

Call Divert

- Forward all incoming calls to another number, even when your phone is off or without reception. Note that you might need to contact your service provider to activate Call Divert. (Charges may apply for this service.)

Call Barring

- This feature must be supported by your service provider. When the Call Barring function is activated, you can answer or make phone calls according to your selection of barring mode. Access this feature via the Menu>Call Settings> SIM1/2> Call Barring.

Call Waiting

- Call waiting is a network dependant feature. After this function is activated, your phone will notify you when you have an incoming call while you are on another call. Access this feature via the Menu> Call Settings> SIM 1/2> Call Waiting. (Charges may apply for this service.)

Menu Operation

When the screen is unlocked, "Menu" will be shown on the bottom left corner of the display screen and "Contacts" will be shown on the right corner.

- Press the Left selection button to display menu options. These options are: Contacts, Call Logs, Messages, Calendar, Multimedia, Games, Tools, Settings and Internet.

- Press the Left / Right / Up / Down navigation ring to select a menu option, then press the Left selection button or the OK button to enter the menu.

- Press the Right selection button to go back to the previous menu screen.

Contacts

Enter the “Contacts” menu and access the phone storage and SIM card storage options. Both storage options are suitable for storing your phone contact details.

- Quick Search

Quick Search contacts by entering the first letter of the contact name and then select the desired contact from the options displayed.

- New

Choose this option to add new names to your contact list. You can save new names to the phone storage or the SIM card storage.

- Import/Export

Here you can copy, import and export all entries and switch between SIM card and phone storage.

- Delete Multiple

Choose this option to delete one or multiple contacts at the same time.

- Others

Check the memory status of the phone, the SIM card and other storage.

Call Logs

This feature will list all incoming and outgoing phone calls, including the ones that did not connect. The most recent calls are listed first.

- Choose from the following Call Log options: missed calls, dialled calls, received calls and rejected calls. You can also delete all logs and view call times and data usage.

Messages

- Enter the “Messages” menu to send text messages to other phones and to manage your Voice Mail box.

- Writing a Message

Enter this sub-menu to write a new SMS or MMS and select options for template use, adding contact info and input method (for example, by capital letter, small letter, numbers etc.).

New MMS: Enter details (phone number or email address) for the recipient of the message, the multimedia attachment, subject and message content. Once you have entered the message, select OK and then select "Send".

The Inbox holds all your received messages, the Outbox holds your saved messages, sent messages are stored in the Sent box and draft messages in the Draft box.

- Templates

Enter this submenu item to select and edit one of the SMS templates provided. You can also add more Templates on empty slots.

• Voice Mail Server

When you have a missed call, it can be transferred to the Voice Mail Box where the caller can leave a voice message. You have two profiles for voice mail. (Extra charges may apply from your service provider.)

- Options

This menu allows you to change message settings, server profile settings, preferred storage, send and retrieval options and memory status. To access this menu use the Left selection key in the Message menu.

- Calendar

Under the Calendar menu you can check the date, set new schedules or go to a specific date to view upcoming or previous schedules.

Multimedia

The “Multimedia” menu provides the following options: Camera, DV, Audio, Video, FM Radio, Recorder and Image.

- Camera

Select this menu to access your Camera and capture images. You can change your camera settings through the Options menu.

• DV

Select this menu to use your video recorder. Use the Option menu to change the settings of your video recorder.

- Audio Player

Select this option to play music through the Audio Player.

- Video Player

Select this option to watch your videos. Open the video player to view all video files and then select options from the submenu including Local Playlist, Settings, Repeat, Shuffle and View Video Details.

- FM Radio

Under this menu you can listen to FM radio stations. You will be prompted to connect your headphones. On first use, select the Left selection button to choose options, select “Auto Search and Save” to search and save all available stations. Alternatively you can select Manual Search to search other stations. All your saved stations will be saved in the Channel list. Choose Open Speaker to play on loudspeaker and choose Record to record what you are listening to.

In the Channel list, choose Play to play the station, delete it or edit the channel name.

- Games

Select this menu to play the Snake Game.

Recorder

Open this menu to view recorded sound files. Select the Options menu to start Recording or to Record File Lists. Select “Storage” to choose the storage and “File Format” to select the desired file format.

Tools

The “Tools” menu gives you access to different tools such as: My Files, Alarm, Bluetooth Wireless Technology, Calculator, World Clock, Torch etc.

- My Files

The “My Files” menu displays the files stored on the phone and the Micro SD card and displays the total storage and available storage. Under different options in this menu you can open or delete folders and create new folders.

- Alarm

Under the Alarm menu you can set three different alarms. You can edit alarms, turn them on/off, change alarm time and set repeat options.

- Bluetooth® Wireless Technology

This phone supports Bluetooth Wireless Technology. Enter this submenu to connect your phone to other Bluetooth enabled devices. On your phone, set the Bluetooth connection to “On” (Power) and follow the prompts to search for new devices and view paired and connected devices.

- Calculator

Enter the Calculator submenu and then use the number buttons to enter numeric values and calculations and the navigation ring to select the function.

- World Clock

Use this menu to see the current time in different Cities around the World.

• Facebook / Whatsapp.

Certain web pages are bookmarked for quick and easy access.

Internet

Access the “Internet” menu to connect to the internet and choose the SIM you want to browse with. Once in the menu, you can access the following submenus:

- Input URL

Input the web address of the site you want to visit, press the OK button to go to the typed URL.

- Bookmarks

Quickly access your favorite web pages by adding them to the Bookmark list.

- History

This Settings option will display recently visited website addresses.

- Options - Home page

Use this menu to go to the selected Home Page URL.

- Options - Settings

Here you can set up the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) server for each SIM card, set a default home page, change your font size and restore your Internet Settings to the Factory Default Settings.

- Options - Exit

Exit Settings and return to the Main Menu.

Settings

Enter the “Settings” menu to set and change your device settings. You can access the below sub-menu items in this menu:

- Call Settings

Setup call settings such as Call Divert, Call Waiting, Call Barring and Dual-Sim.

- Phone Settings

Setup phone settings such as Date & Time, Language, Auto Power On/Off and Restore Factory Settings.

NOTE: When selecting Restore Factory Settings, all previous settings will be cleared and restored back to Factory Default Settings.

- Display

Setup and change display Settings including Wallpaper, Idle Style, Idle Display Settings, Contrast, Keypad Backlight Time and Auto Keypad Lock.

- Security

Setup security Settings such as Pin, Phone Lock, Guard Lock and other Security and Privacy Settings.

- Profiles

Select your desired profile Normal, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor and Indoor. Press the Menu button to enter the option, then adjust the Profile Settings.

- Connections

Use this Settings menu to configure your Network Operations.
