Press ⏻ on the remote controller, unit starts.
- Select a temperature setting
Press the TEMP+ or TEMP- button
TEMP+ Every time the button is pressed, the temperature setting increases 1 °C, if kept depressed, it will increase rapidly.
TEMP- Every time the pad is pressed, the temperature setting decreases 1 °C, if kept depressed, it will decrease rapidly.
Select a desired temperature.
- Fan function
Press EXTRA FUNCTION button to enter additional options. When cycle displays 5, 16 will flash. And then press CONFIRM/CANCEL pad to enter to the FAN function.
Each time the FAN SPEED button is pressed, the fan speed will change as follows:
Remote control:

Air conditioner is running under displayed fan speed.
When FAN is set to AUTO, the air conditioner automatically adjusts the fan speed according to room temperature.

emergency operation
- Use this operation only when the remote control is defective or lost, and with function of Emergency running air conditioner can run automatically for a while.
- When the emergency operation switch is pressed, a "Pi" sound is heard once, which means the start of this operation.

- It is not possible to change the temperature setting or fan speed setting. It is also not possible to operate the TIMER or the DRY mode.
- When POWER switch is turned on for the first time and emergency operation starts, the unit will run automatically in the following mode:

test operation
- Test operation switch is the same as emergency switch.
- Use this switch in the test operation when the room temperature is below 16 °C, do not use it in the normal operation.
- Continue to press the test operation switch for more than 5 seconds. After you hear two "Beeps", release your finger from the switch: the cooling operation starts with the air flow speed at "Hi".

- Under this operation mode, the fan motor of the indoor unit will run at HIGH speed.

Each time the Swing button is pressed, the remote control will display as follows:
COOL / DRY: → 丼 → 丼 → 丼 → 丼 → 丼
HEAT: → レ → ソ → サ → サ → フ → ム
SLEEP function
Press the SLEEP button, the remote control will show 📋, and then achieve to the sleep function. Press again the SLEEP pad, the sleep function will be cancelled.
Operation mode
1. In COOL or DRY mode
1 hour after SLEEP mode starts, the temperature will become 1 °C higher than temperature setting. After another hour, the temperature will rise another 1 °C. The unit will run for further 6 hours then stops. Temperature is higher than temperature setting so that room temperature won't be too low for your sleep.

In COOL and DRY modes
2. In HEAT mode (only on some models)
1 hour after SLEEP mode starts, temperature will become 2 °C lower than temperature setting. After another 1 hour, the temperature decreases by 2 °C further. After another 3 hours, temperature rises by 1 °C further. The unit will run for another 3 hours then stops. Temperature is lower than temperature setting so that room temperature won't be too high for your sleep.

In HEAT mode
3. In AUTO mode
The unit operates in corresponding sleep mode adapted to the automatically selected operation mode.
4. In FAN mode
The SLEEP function is not available.
- When quiet sleeping function is set to 8 hours the quiet sleeping time can not be adjusted. When TIMER function is set, the quiet sleeping function can't be set up. After the sleeping function is set up, if user resets TIMER function, the sleeping function will be cancelled; the machine will be in the state of timing-on, if the two modes are set up at the same time, either of their operation time is ended first, the unit will stop automatically, and the other mode will be cancelled.
Note:
- When TIMER function is set, the sleeping function can't be set up. After the sleeping function is set up, if user resets TIMER function, the sleeping function will be cancelled; the machine will be in the state of timing-on.
- Power failure resume: Press the sleep pad ten times within five seconds and enter function after hearing four sounds. And press the sleep pad ten times within five seconds and leave this function after hearing two sounds.
- Power failure resume function: If the unit is started for the first time, the compressor will not start running unless 3 minutes have elapsed. When the power resumes after power failure, the unit will run automatically, and 3 minutes later the compressor starts running.
timer On/Off operation
- After unit starts, select the desired operation mode.
- Press the TIMER ON or TIMER OFF button to change TIMER mode. When pressing TIMER ON button, the display will show "ON 0.5". After 10 seconds the time display will be blank.
When pressing TIMER OFF button, the display will show "OFF 0.5". After 10 seconds the time display will be blank.
Then select the desired TIMER mode, (TIMER ON or TIMER OFF or TIMER ON-OFF). "ON" or "OFF" will flash. - Press TIMER ON or TIMER OFF button to set time.
Each time you press the button, the time setting will be increased by 0.5 hours until reaching 12 hours, then each press will increase the time by 1 hour. - Confirm TIMER setting. After setting the desired time press the CONFIRM/CANCEL button to CONFIRM your selection "ON" or "OFF" will stop flashing.
To cancel the TIMER
Press the CONFIRM/CANCEL button again. The set TIME will be deleted.
After replacing batteries or a power failure, the time should be reset.
According to the time setting sequence of TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, either Start-Stop or Stop-Start can be achieved.
TURBO and QUIET operation
When you need fast cooling or fast drying, you can select the TURBO function.
When you will sleep or read then you can select the QUIET function.

When running TURBO, the fan speed setting will be the highest. When running QUIET, the fan speed setting will be super slow.
ECO Operation
Energy saving function,
Press the "ECO" button to turn this function on. Indoor unit goes into ECO mode.
Under ECO mode, press the ECO or Mode or Turbo button, or change setting temperature below 24 °C to exit ECO mode.

When ECO function (on some models) is activated. Digits are gradually illuminated one by one in the following order:
-E-C-O set temperature
-E three seconds interval.
installing the batteries
- Remove the batteries compartment cover.
- Insert two "AAA" batteries as illustrated noting battery polarity.
- Replace the batteries compartment cover.

Notes:
- The distance from the remote control to the receiver should be less than 7 meters with no obstructions.
- If the remote control display is weak or the operating distance has diminished, the batteries may need to be replaced.
- Remote control malfunctions can sometimes be corrected by removing the batteries from the remote for a few minutes and then reinstalling them.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- If any segments of the display remain active after battery removal, press the reset button.
maintenance
Set a proper room temperature. Do not block air inlets and outlets.

Close doors and windows during operation.

During cooling operation, avoid direct sunlight using curtains or blinds.
Use the timer effectively.


If the unit is not to be used for a long time, turn off the power supply main switch.

Use the louvers effectively.

remote control
Do not use water, wipe the remote control with a dry cloth. Do not use glass cleaners or a chemical cloth.

indoor unit body
Wipe the air conditioner using a soft and dry cloth. For serious stains, use a neutral detergent diluted with water. Wring the water out of the cloth before wiping. Then wipe off the detergent completely.

do not use the following for cleaning
Gasoline, benzine, thinner or cleanser may damage the finish of the unit.

Hot water over 40 °C (104 °F) may cause discoloration or deformation.

air filter cleaning
- Open the inlet grille by pulling it upwards.
- Remove the filter. Push up the filter's center tab slightly until it is released from the stopper, and remove the filter downward.

-
Clean the filter. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash the filter with water. After washing, dry the filter completely in the shade.
-
Attach the filter. Attach the filter correctly so that the "FRONT" indication is facing to the front. Make sure that the filter is completely fixed behind the stopper. If the right and left filters are not attached correctly, that may cause defects.

- Close the inlet grille.
replacing the air purifying filter
NOTE: The air purifying filter is an optional part.
- Open the inlet grille. Prop up the inlet grille by using a small device named grille-support which is located in the right side of the indoor unit.

- Detach the standard air filter. Slide the knob slightly upward to release the filter, then remove it.

- Attach the air purifying filter. Place air purifying filter into the right and left filter frames.

- Attach the standard air filter. (Necessary installation).

ATTENTION: The white side of the photocatalyst air purifying filter faces outside, and the black side faces the unit. The green side of the bacteria-killing medium air and the white side faces the unit.
- Securely close the inlet grille.
Notes:
- The photocatalyst air purifying filter will be solarized in fixed time. In normal family, it will be solarized every 6 months.
- The bacteria-killing medium air purifying filter will be used for a long time, no need for replacement. But in the period of using them, you should remove the dust frequently using a vacuum cleaner or flapping them lightly, otherwise its performance will be affected.
- Please keep the bacteria-killing medium air purifying filter under cool and dry conditions and avoid long time directly sunshine when you stop using it, or its ability of sterilization will be reduced.

⚠ WARNINGS:
- CALL SALES/SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION.
- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THE AIR CONDITIONER FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE AN IMPROPER INSTALLATION MAY CAUSE ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE, WATER LEAKAGE.
- If an abnormality is found such as burnt-smell, immediately stop the operation pad and contact sales department.
- Check proper installation of the drainage securely.


- Use an exclusive power source with a circuit breaker.
- Connect power supply cord to the outlet completely. Use the proper voltage.


- Do not use an extension power supply cord or connected half-way.
- Do not install in a place where there is a possibility of inflammable gas leakage around the unit.
- Do not get the unit to be exposed to vapor or oil steam.
- Do not use power supply cord in a bundle.

- Do not try to repair or reconstruct the system by yourself.

- Do not direct the air flow directly at people, especially at infants or the aged.

• Take care not to damage the power supply cord.

- Connect the grounding cable.

- Do not insert objects into the air inlet or outlet.

- Do not start or stop the operation by disconnecting the power supply cord and so on.

CAUTION
- Do not use for the purpose of storage of food, art work, precise equipment, breeding, or cultivation.

- Do not install the unit near a fireplace or other heating appliance.

- Do not operate the switch with wet hands.

- Do not pour water onto the unit for cleaning.

- Check good condition of the installation stand.

- Do not place animals or plants in the direct path of the air flow.

• Take fresh air occasionally especially when gas appliance is running at the same time.

- Do not place any objects on or climb on the unit.

- Do not place flower vase or water containers on the top of the unit.

troubleshooting
Before calling for service, check the following:

The system does not restart immediately.![]() | After stopping the unit, it won't restart immediately until 3 minutes have elapsed to protect the system.When the electric plug is pulled out and reinserted, the protection circuit will work for 3 minutes to protect the air conditioner. |
| Noise • During unit operation or at stop, a swishingor gurgling noise may be heard. At first 2-3 minutes after unit start, this noise is more noticeable. (This noise is generated by refrigerant flowing in the system.)During unit operation, a cracking noise may be heard. This noise is generated by the case expanding or shrinking because of temperature changes.Should there be a big noise from air flow in unit operation, air filter may be too dirty. | |
| Bad odor • This is because the system circulates odorsfrom the interior air such as the odor of furniture, paint, cigarettes. | |
Mist or steam are blown out![]() | During COOL or DRY operation, indoor unit may blow out mist. This is due to the sudden cooling of indoor air. |

Problem Possible cause and points to check
Unit won't start. • Is power plug inserted?

• Is there a power failure?
• Is fuse blown out?
Poor cooling. • Is the air filter dirty? Normally it should be cleaned every 15 days.

- Are there any obstacles before inlets and outlets?
• Is temperature set correctly?
- Are there some doors or windows left open?
- Is there any direct sunlight through the window during the cooling operation? (Use curtains).
- Are there too much heat sources or too many people in the room during cooling operation?
CAUTIONS
- Do not obstruct or cover the ventilation grille of the air conditioner. Do not put fingers or any objects into the inlet/outlet and swing louver.
- Do not allow children to play with the air conditioner. In no case should children be allowed to sit on the outdoor unit.
- The refrigerating circuit is a sealed system.

- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorized service agent or by qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard. The type of connecting wire is H05RN-F or H07RN-F.
- All electrical wiring must be done to applicable local and state codes.
- When replacing batteries, the batteries removed should be disposed of properly.
- In order to protect the units, please turn off the unit first, wait 30 seconds and turn off the power.

- Before inserting the power plug into the receptacle, check the voltage without fail. The power source must be the same as the corresponding name plate.
• Install an exclusive branch circuit for the power. - A receptacle must be set up in a distance where the power cable can be reached. Do not extend the cable by cutting it.

Indoor Unit
- Place, robust not causing vibration, where the body can be supported sufficiently.
- Place not affected by heat or steam generated in the vicinity, where inlets and outlets of the unit are not disturbed.
- Place possible to drain easily, where piping can be connected with the outdoor unit.
- Place where cold air can be spread in a room entirely.
- Place where the distance of more than 1 m from television sets, radios, wireless apparatuses and fluorescent lamps can be left.
- In the case of fixing the remote control on a wall, place where the indoor unit can receive signals when the fluorescent lamps in the room are lightened.
Outdoor Unit
- Place which is less affected by rain or direct sunlight, and is sufficiently ventilated.
- Place sturdy enough to bear the unit, where vibration and noise are not increased.
- Place where discharged wind and noise do not cause a nuisance to the neighbors.
- Place where a distance marked is available as illustrated in the above figure.

1. Fitting of the mounting plate and positioning of the wall hole.
When the mounting plate is first fixed
- Carry out based on the neighboring pillars or lintels, a proper leveling for the plate to be fixed against the wall, then temporarily fasten the plate with one steel nail.
- Check again the proper level of the plate by hanging a thread with a weight from the central top of the plate, then fasten securely the plate with the attachment steel nail.
- Find the wall hole location "A" using a measuring tape.

- Fix to side bar and lintel a mounting bar, which is separately sold, and then fasten the plate to the fixed mounting bar.
- Refer to the previous section, "When the mounting plate is first fixed" for the position of wall hole.
2. Make a hole on the wall and fit the piping hole cover.
- Make a hole of 60 mm in diameter, slightly descending to outside the wall.
• Install piping hole cover and seal it off with putty after installation.

3. Routing the pipes
Rear piping
- Draw pipes and the drain hose, then fasten them with the adhesive tape.
Left-Left-rear piping
- In case of left side piping, cutaway with a nipper the lid for left piping.
-
In case of left-rear piping, bend the pipes according to the piping direction to the mark of hole for left-rear piping which is marked on heat insulation materials.
-
Insert the drain hose into the dent of heat insulation materials of indoor unit.
- Insert the indoor/outdoor electric cable from backside of indoor unit, and pull it out on the front side, then connect them.
- Coat the flaring seal face with refrigerant oil and connect pipes. Cover the connection part with heat insulation materials closely, and make sure fixing with adhesive tape.


- Indoor/outdoor electric cable and drain hose must be bound with refrigerant piping by protecting tape.
Other direction piping
- Cut with a nipper, the lid for piping according to the piping direction and then bend the pipe according to the position of wall hole. When bending, be careful not to crash pipes.
- Connect beforehand the indoor/outdoor electric cable, and then pull out the connected to the heat insulation of connecting part specially.
fixing the indoor unit body
- Hang surely the unit body onto the upper notches of the mounting plate. Move the body from side to side to verify its secure fixing.
- In order to fix the body onto the mounting plate, hold up the body aslant from the underside and then put it down perpendicularly.

unloading of indoor unit body
- When you unload the indoor unit, please use your hand to arise the body to leave agraffe, then lift the bottom of the body outward slightly and lift the unit aslant until it leaves the mounting plate.

connecting the indoor/outdoor electric cable
- Remove terminal cover at right bottom corner of indoor unit, then take off wiring cover by removing its screws.
- Insert from outside the room cable into left side of the wall hole, in which the pipe has already existed.
- Pull out the cable on the front side, and connect the cable making a loop.
- Insert the cable from the back side of the unit, then pull it out on the front side.
- Loosen the screws and insert the cable ends fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws.
- Pull the cable slightly to make sure the cables have been properly inserted and tightened.
- After the cable connection, never fail to fasten the connected cable with the wiring cover.

NOTE: When connecting the cable, confirm the terminal number of indoor and outdoor units carefully. If wiring is not correct, proper operation can not be carried out and will cause defect.

On some 24 000 BTU/h systems
NOTE: Consult the electrical wiring diagram for each particular model.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similar qualified person. The type of connecting wire is H05RN-F or 245 IEC57.
- If the fuse on PC board is broken, please change it with the type of T. 3.15 A/250 V.
- The wiring method should be in line with the local wiring standard.
• After installation, the power plug should be easily reached. - A breaker should be incorporated into fixed wiring. The breaker should be all—pole switch and the distance between its two contacts should be not less than 3 mm.

Install according to drawing for the installation of indoor and outdoor units.
connection of pipes
- To bend a pipe, give the roundness as large as possible not to crush the pipe, and the bending radius should be 30 to 40mm or longer.
- Connecting the pipe of gas side first makes working easier.
- The connection pipe must be specialized for R410A.

IMPORTANT: Forced fastening without careful centering may damage the threads and cause a leakage of gas.

Be careful that mater, such as wastes of sands, etc. shall not enter the pipe.
The standard pipe length is 4 m, if it is over 7 m, the function of the unit will be affected. If the pipe has to be lengthened, the refrigerant should be charged according to 20 g/m. But the charge of refrigerant must be conducted by professional air conditioner engineer. Before adding additional refrigerant, perform air purging from the refrigerant pipes and indoor unit using a vacuum pump, then charge additional refrigerant.

• Maximum elevation: (A) max = 10 m
- In case the elevation (A) is more than 5 m, oil trap should be installed every 5 to 7 m
• Maximum length: (B) max = 15 m
- In case the pipe length B is more than 7 m, the refrigerant should be charged, according to 20 g/m.
connection
- Use the same method on indoor unit. Loosen the screws on terminal block and insert the plugs fully into terminal block, then tighten the screws.
- Insert the cable according to terminal number in the same manner as the indoor unit.
- If wiring is not correct, proper operation can not be carried out and controller may be damaged.
• Fix the cable with a clamp.

- If a drain elbow is used, please attach it as figure. (Note: Only on heat pump units.)

using a vacuum cleaner as purging method
- Detach the service port's cap of 3-way valve, the valve rod's cap for 2-way valve and 3-way's, connect the service port into the projection of charge hose (low) for gauge manifold. Then connect the projection of charge hose (center) for gauge manifold into vacuum pump.
- Open the handle at low in gauge manifold, operate vacuum pump. If the scale moves of gauge (low) reach vacuum condition in a moment, check 1 again.
- Vacuum for over 15 minutes and check the level gauge which should read -0,1 MPa (76 cm Hg) at low pressure side. After the completion of vacuum, close the handle "LO" in gauge manifold and stop the operation of the vacuum pump. Check condition of the scale and hold it for 1-2 min. If the scale moves back in spite of tightening, make flaring work again, the return to the beginning of 3.
- Open the valve rod for the 2-way valve to an angle of anticlockwise 90 degrees. After 6 seconds, close the 2-way valve and make the inspection of gas leakage.
- No gas leakage?
In case-of gas leakage, tighten parts of pipe. If leakage stops, then proceed to step 6.
If it does not stop, discharge whole refrigerants from the service port. After flaring work again and vacuum, fill up prescribed refrigerant from the gas cylinder. - Detach the charge hose from the service port, open 2-way valve and 3-way. Turn the valve rod anticlockwise until hitting lightly.
- To prevent gas leakage, turn the service port's cap. The valve rod's cap for 2-way valve and 3 way's a little more than the point where the torque increases suddenly.
- After attaching each cap, check for gas leakage around the caps.







CAUTION
- If the refrigerant of the air conditioner leaks, it is necessary to discharge all the refrigerant. Vacuum first, then charge the liquid refrigerant into air conditioner according to the amount marked on the name plate.
- Please do not let other cooling medium except the specified one (R410A) or air enter into the cooling circulation system. Otherwise there will be abnormal high pressure in the system to make it crack and lead to personal injuries.
power source
- The power source must be exclusively used for air conditioner (over 10 A).
- In case of installing an air conditioner in a moist place, please install a ground leakage breaker.
- For installation in other places, use a circuit breaker as far as possible.
Cutting and flaring work of piping
- Pipe cutting is carried out with a pipe cutter and burs must be removed.
