Thank you for your purchase of one of Speco Technologies 86 series speakers. This classic design sets the standard for background music and paging in commercial installations. All Speco Technologies' indoor speakers come with a LIFETIME warranty against manufacturing defects, so you can be confident in your choice of product.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) These speakers are intended for use in 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' ceiling tile grids.
2) These speakers drop directly onto the tile grid, saving you large amounts of time over many speakers by removing the requirement to cut precise holes to mount the speaker.
3) If your ceiling tile grid is 2' x 2', this speaker can drop directly into the grid and mounting is complete.
4) If your ceiling tile grid is 2' x 4', this speaker will need to be mounted next to either a 2' x 2' ceiling tile, or next to some other apparatus such as an HVAC vent. For aesthetics, we recommend using a 2' tile bar in between (not included).
5) Wiring should be done prior to laying the speaker in the tile grid.
6) Wire the positive lead from your amplifier to the colored lead of your desired power on the transformer.
7) Wire the negative lead from your amplifier to the black/common lead on the transformer.
8) IMPORTANT: Ensure the total power of all wattage taps selected on all speakers running from this amplifier does not exceed 80% of the rated power of the amplifier. (e.g., If the amp rated power is 100W, do not put more than 80W of speakers on it). Speco Technologies is NOT responsible for damage to equipment due to improper installation.
9) IMPORTANT: Ensure you are wiring the proper voltage. Only use 70V taps with a 70V amplifier, and 25V taps with a 25V amplifier. Speco Technologies is NOT responsible for damage to equipment due to improper installation.

10) If daisy chaining speakers, ensure speakers remain in phase by keeping all the positives wired together and all the negatives wired together.

11) Cutoff bare portion of unused leads and terminate with electrical tape or wire nuts.

12) For G86TG2X2C, adjust volume control knob on grille to desired level.
