Installation

Installationlocation

Adry,wellventilatedroomissuitableasaninstallation location.Theinstallationlocations should not be exposed to direct sunlight and not placed near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use suitable insulating plate or observe the following minimum distances from the heat source:

• 10cmtoanelectriccooker.
• 30cmtoanoilorcoal-firedcooker.

Theflooroftheinstallationlocationmustnotgiveway; if required,reinforcefloor.Theappliancemustbevertical, otherwisetheicemakerwillnotfunctionproperly.

Ambienttemperature

The climatic class can be found on the rating plate. It state the room temperature within which the appliance can be operated. The rating plate is located in the refrigerator compartment at the bottom right side.

Transporting

The appliance may be moved only when it is unloaded. This refrigerator features integrated rollers which are intended exclusively for installing the appliance, i.e. they arenotsuitable for transporting the appliance over long distances (approx. 4m). The appliance may be damaged even if it is transported over unven to oosoft ground.

Afterinstallingtheappliance, waitatleast 12 houruntilthe applianceisswitchedon. Duringtransportation, theoil containedinthecompressormayrunintothe refrigerationsystem.

Electricalconnection

Donotuseextensioncablesordistributors. Connecting this appliance, only use a plug which has been installed securely.

Thesocketshouldbefreelyaccessible. Connect the appliance only to 220–240V/50Hz alternating current via acorrectly installed earthed socket. Thesocket must be fused with a 10 to 16 Afuse.

If the appliance is to be operated in an non-European country, check on therating plate whether the indicated voltage and current type corresponds to the values of your main supply. Therating plate is located in the refrigerator compartment at the bottom right side. The power cord may bere placed by a technician only.

The following temperatures have been recommended and set by the factory:

• "cool-fresh" compartment: +4 °C
• Refrigeratorcompartment:+8 °C
• Freezercompartment: -18 °C

Note

The preset temperatures (factory settings) are reached after several hours. Donotputany food in the appliance beforehand.

Whentheapplianceisswitchedon, theiceandwater makerarenotautomaticallystarted.Forstart-upsee chapterentitledIceandwatermaker.

Basicfunctions

Note

Wheneverthefreshwatersupplytotheapplianceis reconnectedorinterrupted, werecommend,forreasons ofhygiene,that:

  • waterisdispensedfromthewaterdispenseruntilitis cleanandclear(atleast15glasses)andthatthis wateristhrownaway,
  • icecubesaredispensed(atleast1.5kg)untiltheyare cleanandclearandthattheseicecubesarethrown away.

The appliance functions with the Nofrost system. Airiscooledintheapplianceandcirculatedbyfans. Asaresult, a constant temperature is reached within the temperature zones. The humidity contained in the air condenses on the evaporator (refrigeration generator). The evaporator is automatically defrosted.

Thecondensationisconveyedtotherefrigeratingunit whereitevaporates. Thetemperaturezonesandfood remainfreeofice.

Whattodoafterswitchingonthe applianceforthefirsttime

Afterswitchingontheapplianceforthefirsttime,you shouldselectseveralstandardsettingstofacilitate control(seechapterentitledStandardsettings).

  1. Selectthelanguagetobeused.
  2. Input the current date and time.
  3. Set your water hardness.

Selecttemperaturezonetobeedited

Differentsettingscanbeselectedseparatelyforthe differenttemperaturezones(refrigeratorcompartment, "cool-fresh"compartment,freezercompartment). Todothis,selecttherequiredtemperaturezoneonthe display.

- Keeppressingbutton until there required climatic zone is highlighted on the display. Changescannowbemadeto this climatic zone.

Interiorlight

The interiorlightsarelitwhenthedoorsareopen. If the doors are left open for longer than 1 minute, the interior lights automatically switch off and an acoustic warnings signal prompts out of closeted oors. When the door is closed, the warnings signal stops.

If the appliance is disconnected from the powersupply for longer than four hours while the ecemaker is switched on, remove all the ice from the ecemaker and switch off the ice and water dispenser. Otherwise water from melting icemay run out of the appliance!

Iceandwaterdispenser

The following can bed dispensed as required:

  • cooledwater
  • icecubes
  • crushedice

Note:

Theiceandwaterdispenserwillnotfunctionunlesssthe applianceisconnectedtothewatermains.

Theicemakerproducesclearice. Theicecontainsless chlorine, saltsandothersubstancesandisthereforeof a higherqualitythannormaltapordrinkingwater. During iceproductionthesubstancesareseparatedfromthe wateranddischarged.

Whentheiceandwaterdispenserisswitchedon,fresh cleariceisalwaysavailable,evenifnoicehasbeen dispensedforseveraldays.Astheicemelts continuously,theentireicequantityisrenewedwithin threedays.

Atleast1.5kgoficeisproducedwithin24hours.

Dispensewaterforseveralminutesuntilwatercanbe dispensedwithoutbubbles.Werecommendthatyou throwawaythefirst15glassesofwater.Ittakesseveral hoursforthewatertobechilledwiththeicemaker switchedon.

Note:

4.Button

The first portion can be dispensed approx. two hours after the ice and water dispenser wass switched on.

Important!

If the appliance was disconnected from the powers supply for longer than 4 hours, remove all the ice from the ice maker. Otherwise water from melting icemay run out.

Dispensingice/water

Afterswitchingoverfromdispensingicecubesto crushedice,theremaystillbewholeorpartialicecubes inthedispenser.Thesearedispensedwiththefirst portionsofcrushedice.

Dispensingisinterruptedaftertwominutes. Todispensemoreiceorchilledwater,pressthe dispenserpadagain.Withina30minuteperiodice can bedispensedfora maximumsixminutes.

  1. Pressbutton 🚗 or 🚗 to select whether crushedice or ice cubes are to be dispensed. Water can be dispensed directly without selecting a button.
