Frequently Asked Questions - NXA-TTS43X AMX

How do I surface mount the NXA-TTS43X stand?
To surface mount, first remove the rubber feet using a flat-head screwdriver. Drill three holes in the mounting surface using the bottom panel as a template (hole diameter 0.166"). Remove the cable knockout, position the enclosure, and secure it with the two rear screws. Then install the cable strain relief, route cables, and secure the third screw through the strain relief bracket.
What is the purpose of the cable knockout?
The cable knockout on the bottom panel allows cables to enter the enclosure from below when surface mounting, avoiding the use of rear panel connectors. This provides a clean, low-profile installation.
What strain relief accessories are included?
The stand includes a Cable Strain Relief (45-0004-04) and a Strain Relief Bracket (62-1800-06). These mount inside the enclosure to secure cables and prevent strain on connections.
Can I install a different brand touch panel in this stand?
This stand is designed specifically for AMX touch panels, keypads, and ControlPads sized up to 4.3 inches. Other brands may not fit securely or align with mounting holes.
What are the dimensions of the stand?
The exact dimensions are provided in the manual (FIG. 4 and FIG. 7). For NXA-TTS43X-BL and NXA-TTS500-BL, the enclosure dimensions are shared. Typical width is around 150 mm and depth 100 mm, but refer to the manual for precise values.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need a flat-head screwdriver to remove rubber feet and cable knockout, a drill with a 0.166" (4.22 mm) bit for mounting holes, and a screwdriver for the mounting screws.
Is the stand VESA compatible?
No, the NXA-TTS43X is not VESA compatible. It uses a proprietary mounting pattern with three holes on the bottom panel. It is designed for surface mounting, not wall mounting.
How do I route cables through the stand?
Remove the cable knockout on the bottom panel, run cables through the opening, install the Cable Strain Relief on the cables, attach it to the Strain Relief Bracket inside, then connect cables to the touch panel or keypad.
Can I mount the stand on a wall?
The stand is designed for surface mounting on a table or desk, not for wall mounting. It has rubber feet for stable table placement and mounting holes for secure attachment to a flat surface.
Where can I find the full installation guide?
The full installation guide is available on the AMX website or by searching for the specific TTS model (e.g., NXA-TTS43X-BL Installation Guide). The manual also references additional guides for the touch panel or keypad installation.

USER MANUAL NXA-TTS43X AMX

Each of the TTS Table-Top Stands features a Cable Knockout and three mounting holes on the bottom panel that allow you to provide a secure surface-mount installation.

Note that in this type of installation, the rear panel connectors on the TTS are not used, since the cables entering the enclosure through the bottom panel connect directly to the Touch Panel, Keypad(s) or ControlPad installed in the Table-Top Stand.

Strain Relief Accessories

Included with each TTS Table-Top Stand is a cable Strain Relief and Strain Relief Bracket that mount inside the TTS enclosure:
