How do I reset the AirLive AC1205R to factory defaults?

Locate the Reset button on the back panel. Use a paperclip to press and hold for about 10 seconds until the LEDs flash. The router will reboot with default settings.

What is the default IP address to access the router's web interface?

The default IP address is 192.168.1.1. Enter this in your browser's address bar. Default username and password are both admin (unless changed).

How can I change the Wi-Fi password on my AC1205R?

Log into the web interface, go to Wireless Settings, select the band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), and update the Pre-Shared Key field. Click Save to apply.

Why is my internet light not on?

Check the Ethernet cable connection between the router's WAN port and your modem. Ensure the modem is powered on and has an active internet connection. Try a different cable if needed.

Can I set up a guest network on this router?

Yes. In the web interface, navigate to Guest Network. Enable it for either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, set a network name and password, and configure access restrictions.

How do I update the firmware on the AC1205R?

Download the latest firmware from the AirLive support website. Log into the router, go to System Tools > Firmware Upgrade, select the file, and click Upgrade. Do not power off during update.

What should I do if I forgot my router login password?

Perform a factory reset using the Reset button (see first FAQ). This restores the default username and password (admin). Note that all settings will be lost.

How many devices can connect simultaneously to the AC1205R?

The router can handle approximately 20-30 devices simultaneously under normal usage, depending on bandwidth and interference.

Does the AC1205R support Power over Ethernet (PoE)?

No, this router does not support PoE. It requires a DC 12V/1A power adapter connected to an electrical outlet.

How can I improve the Wi-Fi range of my router?

Place the router in a central location away from walls and metal objects. Adjust the antennas vertically. Consider changing the Wi-Fi channel to avoid interference from neighboring networks.

Installation Step:

1. Wait for approximately 45 seconds for the Router to power on.
2. Connect the LAN port of the Router to the network port of the computer with a network cable, or connect to the Wireless signal of the Router with a wireless network card. The default SSID is WIFI_XXXX (XXXX is the last 4 digits of the Router MAC address). Default Wireless Password: 12345678
3. Open a browser and enter the Router IP address 192.168.188.1 Enter the setup Wizard to set the administrator password.
