What is the maximum weight for the front seat?

The front seat has a maximum weight capacity of 50 lb (22.68 kg). The child must be at least 6 months old and not over 40 inches (102 cm) tall.

Can I attach an infant car seat to this stroller?

Yes, you can attach an infant car seat to the front seat only. The child tray must be rotated upward and the seat reclined. The infant car seat is sold separately.

How do I adjust the 5-point harness?

To adjust the shoulder straps, unhook them from the crotch buckle, feed through the appropriate slots at the back of the seat, and reattach. Select the slot that positions the strap at or below the child's shoulder.

How do I fold the stroller?

Close the canopy, rotate front wheels forward, slide the fold lock while squeezing the fold button on the handle, then push the handle forward until the stroller folds. Lock the fold latch securely.

How do I attach the canopy?

Line up the male fittings on the canopy with the slots on the armrests and push downward until they snap into place. To remove, press the snap button under the armrest and pull.

What is the rear platform used for?

The rear platform allows an older child (at least 2.5 years old, not over 40 inches tall) to stand or sit on the jump seat. Use the safety belt behind the child.

How do I clean the stroller?

Use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

What is the warranty coverage?

Baby Trend® offers a 1-year limited warranty against workmanship defects. Misuse, abuse, or improper assembly voids the warranty.

Can I use the stroller for twins?

Yes, but one child must be in the front seat and one on the rear platform/jump seat. The front seat is for a child at least 6 months old, and the rear for a child at least 2.5 years old. Total weight must not exceed 110 lb.

How do I remove the child tray?

Pull both release levers on the underside of each side of the tray and lift upward. The tray can also be rotated 90 degrees for infant car seat use.

WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

• Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or accessory items may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous, unstable condition.
• The Front / Rear Stroller Seat is designed for a child who is at least 6 months and is not over 40 inches (102 cm) tall. Max. weight 40 pounds (18.1 kg) each. Use of the stroller with (2) children weighing more than 40 pounds (18.14 kg) each will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition.
• The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 lb (2.26 kg), parent tray and child tray is 3 lb (1.36 kg). Seat Belt storage pocket: To store seat belt only, maximum weight is 1 lb (0.45 kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
• Be certain the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near the stroller.
• The maximum weight for the front seat is 50 lb (22.68 kg). The maximum weight for the platform and jump/rear seat is 50 lb (27.21 kg).
• The rear stand on platform and jump/rear seat are designed for a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old and is not over 40 inches (101.6 cm) tall. Children totaling more than 110 pounds (49.89 kg), will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition to exist.
• NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
• NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
• To clean use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.

Replace or repair parts as needed. - Discontinue use of stroller should it malfunction or become damaged. Remove stroller from box. The front wheels, rear wheels, child tray, and parent tray MUST be installed prior to use.

4) To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward and onto each side of the front armrests until both sides snap into place (Fig. 4). NOTE: Check that tray is securely latched in place.

6) To rotate the child tray: In order to attach an infant car seat to the stroller, the child tray must be rotated to the vertical position. Press buttons on both sides of the child tray to rotate down 90 degrees (Fig. 6).

5) To access the child seat: Pull one side of the release lever (Fig. 5a) located on the underside of the child tray and lift upward. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the seat (Fig. 5b).

7) • To remove the child tray: Pull both release levers located on the underside of each side of the tray and lift upward (Fig. 7).

8) To attach the cup holder: Push the cup holders downward and onto each side of the armrests until it snaps into place (Fig. 8). To remove, pull the release lever located on the underside of the cup holder.

9) • To attach the canopy: Line up the male fittings on the canopy with the slots on the armrest and push both fittings downward until snapped into place (Fig. 9).

- To open the canopy, push forward on the front edge of the canopy while holding the rear of canopy in place. To close the canopy, pull backward on the front edge.

To remove the canopy: Press the snap button under the armrest and pull to release the fitting from the slot. Repeat for the other side (Fig. 9b).

NOTE: The canopy is only needed when using the seated position for your child. It is not needed when using with the infant car seat.

10) To attach the parent tray, position the tray so that the hinges for the storage compartment are facing forward. Snap the parent tray to the stand at the top of the frame (Fig. 10). NOTE: Check that the tray is securely latched in place.

BRAKES

WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.

11) To engage brakes, apply light downward pressure to the brake lever located on each rear wheel. The stroller may require slight forward or rearward movement in order to line up the teeth on the brake with each wheel brake cluster (Fig. 11a). NOTE: Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied.

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness. STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.

12) • The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness has 2 attachment positions. Select the loop position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder and feed the shoulder harness under the correct loop. To adjust harness slot unhook the shoulder strap from the crotch buckle (Fig. 12a). Feed the shoulder strap through the harness spread slots. You can access these slots from the rear of the seat. Feed shoulder strap through appropriate slot and reattach shoulder strap to crotch buckle.

13) To release, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until the clip is released (Fig. 13). This process requires a moderate amount of effort so as to prevent an accidental release by your child. NOTE: Buckles may be hard to release when first used.

14) • Strap the safety belt over the infant car seat through the seat belt slots on the infant car seat, connect the buckles together (Fig. 14a). The safety belts for the infant car seat is located in small pockets on outer sides of seat pads (Fig. 14b). Tighten the strap so the infant car seat fits snug and can't move. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFANT CAR SEAT STRAP IS ALWAYS TIGHTLY FASTENED AROUND THE INFANT CAR SEAT. NOTE: When the stand feature safety belt is not used, you must store the stand feature safety belt back to its storage.

TO RECLINE SEATS

WARNING: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.

16) • The front seat has a two position recline. To recline the seat, rotate the recline bar and press backward on the seat back (Fig. 16). To place the seat in the upright position, press upward on the seat back while rotating the recline bar.

Infant car seat sold separately

ATTENTION: The infant car seat may only be attached on the front seat of the stroller.

17) To attach the infant car seat in the front seating position: Attach the child tray in the front seating position and rotate to the vertical position. Place the seat in the reclined position (refer to Fig. 16). Set the infant car seat facing toward the rear of the stroller so the seat shell goes into the child tray and latches into place (Fig. 17).

18) • To remove the Infant Car Seat, squeeze the release handle located at the foot-end of the seat and carefully lift upward on the seat (Fig. 18).

WARNING: The rear platform and jump seat are designed to accommodate a child who is at least 2 1/2 years old, has good balance and coordination, and is not over 40 inches tall.

Jump Seat: To use jump seat, please remove the child tray (if attached).

20) • Position the child on the platform on the back of the stroller. Be sure child is standing facing forward and hands are holding frame. Secure the stand feature safety belt behind child and engage buckle (Fig. 20).

NOTE: Be sure that the child's feet are fully on the platform at all times.

WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment. CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding.

21) • Close the canopy as described in the canopy section.

- Pull stroller backward several inches to rotate the front wheels to the front (Fig. 21a).

• To fold the stroller slide the fold lock with your thumb while squeezing the large fold button in the center of the handle and push forward on the handle (Fig. 21b).

- Once the stroller begins to fold, release the handle and push forward on the handle until the stroller is folded. Lock the fold latch (Fig. 21c).
