How do I install the TOA TZ-205 column speaker?

First, mount the supplied top and bottom brackets to the wall using appropriate hardware (not included). Then attach the speaker to the top bracket using the supplied hexagon bolt, washer, and gasket. Finally, fix the speaker to the bottom bracket similarly. Ensure the panel with the drain hole and speaker cord faces downward.

What is the power rating and impedance of the TZ-205?

The rated input is 20 W (max 30 W). On a 100 V line, the impedance is 500 Ω for 20 W operation or 1 kΩ for 10 W operation.

Can I use the TZ-205 outdoors?

Yes, it has an IP-X3 equivalent water resistance rating, meaning it can withstand light rain or splashes. However, avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.

What tools are needed for installation?

You will need a drill and appropriate fasteners (nuts, bolts, washers) for mounting the brackets to the wall. The speaker itself is fixed with the supplied hexagon bolts and washers, so a hex key or wrench is required.

How are the speaker wires connected?

2. FEATURES

The TZ-105 and TZ-205 are column speakers with built-in identical cone speakers (2 for TZ-105, 4 for TZ-205) vertically arranged on the baffle boards. They present sound pressure characteristics in an extremely narrow angle in a vertical plane and in a wide angle in a horizontal plane.

3. INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

This column speaker features a drain hole built into same panel that holds the speaker cord. For proper drainage, during installation please ensure that this panel faces down toward the ground.

4. INSTALLATION

Step 1. Mount the supplied top and bottom mounting brackets to the mounting surface.

Note

No hardware has been provided for installation of the mounting brackets. Therefore, please prepare the necessary nuts, bolts and washers before beginning installation.

Step 2. Using the supplied hexagon bolt, washer, and mounting gasket, fix the speaker to the top bracket.

Step 3. Similarly, fix the speaker to the bottom bracket.

Note

When adjusting the speaker angle, use the optional YS-301 Speaker mounting kit.
