IMPORTANT

As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened correctly.
The plug must be fitted with a fuse of the same rating already fitted and conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it from the mains – and then cut it off of the mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.

This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.

• DO NOT let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or let it come into contact with any hot surfaces.
- The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer apart from those supplied with this product. DO NOT use extension cords with the appliance.
• DO NOT pull the plug out by the cord as this may damage the plug and/or the cable.
- Switch off and unplug before fitting or removing tools/attachments, after use and before cleaning.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Children should not play with the appliance.

- Be careful if hot liquid is poured into a container while blending, as it could be ejected out of the container due to a sudden steaming.

• DO NOT operate the blender with wet hands. Thoroughly dry your hands before plugging in.
• Make sure the blender attachments are in place and the power cord is not damaged before using the appliance every time.
• Never let the blades face towards anybody while operating the appliance.
• Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly and infirm.
• Always ensure that the hand blender is thoroughly cleaned after use.
- WARNING! The appliance may emit a small amount of smoke when it is first turned on. This is due to manufacturing oils and/or residue left on the motor. This is considered normal and there is no need for alarm. The smoke will eventually lessen once the oil and/or residue disappears.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
• Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.
- Farm houses.
- Clients in hotels.
• Motels and other residential type environments.
- Bed and breakfast type environments.
• DO NOT immerse the motor unit into water as this could result in an electric shock.

- Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe personal injury or damage to the blender.
- The appliance cannot be used for chopping ice or blending hard and dry substance, as the blade could be blunted.

Before First Use
Read all instructions and safety information carefully before first use. Please retain this information for future reference.

Carefully clean the blender attachments in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly before connecting the selected attachment to the motor unit.

Check that the power cord is not damaged.
Important: The blade in this appliance is very sharp. Handle with care.

Never assemble, disassemble or clean when the product is connected to the mains supply.

Using Your Appliance
Tips
• Roughly chop all your ingredients before blending for best results.
- Move your hand blender in a gentle up and down movement.
- Start blending at the lowest setting before progressing to the highest speed setting.
- The hand blender can be used for:
Blending liquids.
Mixing soft ingredients.
Pureeing cooked ingredients.
• The chopper can be used for chopping beef (less than 200g), nuts, bread, vanilla, onions, e.g.
- The whisk can be used for beating egg whites and cream.
Note: The unit's blade is not suitable for cutting through poultry bones.
- Cut your ingredients into small cubes.
- Place the ingredients into a suitable container, or the supplied beaker.
- Connect the motor unit to the blender shaft, turn and lock until you hear a slight click.
- Plug the appliance into the power outlet whilst holding the motor unit steadily.
- Hold the beaker or equivalent blending container firmly.
- Lower the blender into the container.
- Switch the hand blender on by pressing and holding the power button.
- For a higher speed, select the Turbo button.
- To blend the ingredients, move the appliance slowly up and down in circles.
- To stop the hand blender, take your finger off the power button.
- To switch to a different blender attachment or fit the chopper bowl, firstly switch the appliance off at the mains. Then turn and unlock until you hear a slight click.
Note: If the hand blender gets blocked, first stop and unplug it before cleaning.
WARNING! DO NOT come into contact with moving parts while blending. AVOID touching the blade when the appliance is turned on to avoid injury. WARNING! DO NOT touch the edges of the blade as they are sharp! WARNING! Never blend hot oil, fat or meat.
Using the Chopper Bowl:
- Remove the protective cover from the chopper blade carefully.
- Clean the lid, blade unit and the chopper bowl.
- Fix the blade unit in the chopper bowl and fill the bowl with food (no more than the indicated max level).
- Connect the motor unit to the chopper bowl, turn and lock until you hear a slight click. The marks on the motor unit and chopper bowl should now be aligned with each other.
- Plug the appliance into the power outlet whilst holding the motor unit steadily.
- Hold the chopper bowl firmly.
- Switch the hand blender on by holding and pressing the power button.
- When finished, release the power button and unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
Note: If the chopper gets blocked, first stop and unplug it before cleaning. After use, unplug and detach the motor unit and lid, take the blade out of the bowl by holding the plastic shaft, then pour out the food. Always switch off the blender and unplug it before cleaning. Refer to the Cleaning and Care section.
Using the Whisk:
- Clean the whisk attachment.
- Connect the whisk attachment to the motor unit, turn and lock until you hear a slight click.
- Plug the appliance into the power outlet whilst holding the motor unit steadily.
- To prevent splashing, use the low speed setting when you begin mixing your ingredients.
- Immerse the whisk completely into the ingredients, and switch on the appliance selecting the low speed setting, then blend moving the appliance slowly up and down in circles.
- When finished, release the power button and unplug it from the power outlet.
Rest Times:
• To prevent the unit or any of the accessories from overheating and potentially becoming damaged, observe the following maximum running times per cycle:
- Blender Shaft attachment: 30 seconds
- Whisk attachment: 1 minute
- Chopper bowl attachment: 15 seconds
- Turbo speed: 30 seconds.
- Allow the appliance to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes between blending cycles.
- If you accidentally do run the hand blender for longer than any of the stated times, unplug it and leave it to fully cool to room temperature before re-using.

| The mixture splashes up when I blend. | This can happen due to the powerful blades of the hand blender.Try placing the end of the blender shaft into your mixture before turning it on, to minimise splash. You can also use a larger or deeper bowl or jug. |
| My mixture is not blending. | Try chopping your ingredients into smaller pieces. |
| How long can I use the blender for before it needs to rest? | When using the blender and attachments, take care to observe the running times detailed on page 7.Allow the appliance to rest for a minimum of 3 minutes between blending cycles. |
| Can I switch the blender on when it is not being used to blend? | You can run the blender without actually blending ingredients, but do not exceed 15 seconds running time without blending ingredients. The blender should only be used without ingredients for cleaning purposes. |
| Can I use the blender to crush ice? | No, you cannot use the blender to crush ice as this can blunt the blades. |
Cleaning & Care
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
- Wash the blade under running water, without using abrasive cleaner or detergents.
- Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth.
- Never immerse the motor unit in water for cleaning as an electric shock may occur.
- Make sure that the appliance is cleaned after every use.
Beaker:
• The beaker should be washed in water with a cleaning agent after each use.
- Wash and rinse thoroughly with water and then dry.
Blender Shaft:
• The blender shaft can be washed in water with a cleaning agent.
- Wash and rinse it thoroughly with water and then dry.
Chopper Bowl:
- The chopper bowl, lid and blade can be washed in water with a cleaning agent.
- Wash and rinse thoroughly with water and then dry.
- Reattach the protective cover to the blade.
Whisk:
- The whisk attachment can be washed in water with a cleaning agent.
- Wash and rinse thoroughly with water and then dry.
Important: Allow each attachment to dry fully after cleaning before using again.
DO NOT use the appliance if damp. Ensure the appliance is completely clean and dry before storing.
To store your appliance:
- Unplug the power cord from the power outlet and clean as detailed above.
- Allow the appliance to dry fully.
- Store in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

The standard one year guarantee is only extended to the maximum available for each particular product upon registration of the product within 28 days of purchase. If you do not register the product with us within the 28 day period, your product is guaranteed for 1 year only.
