Moon Phase Clock

Welcome to your ClimeMET weather dial, designed by a team of outdoor enthusiasts in rural Suffolk. Let us help you make the most of the great outdoors.

Our ClimeMET Moon Phase Clock is designed to indicate the phases of the lunar cycle, perfect for those who love star gazing, night fishing or camping under the stars. Pair with one of our ClimeMET Clocks and Tide Clocks to create your very own 'moon, time and tide' set, ideal for coastal living.

Features

Measurement range: 29.5 day lunar cycle.

Location

Position your moon phase clock in an area where it can remain undisturbed. Do not position in direct sunlight and avoid sources of heat.

Setting Up Your Moon Phase Clock

  • Establish the current moon phase for your location by visiting www.climemet.com/moon.
  • Insert a battery with the correct polarity. You should hear a faint ticking of the mechanism.
  • During the full moon, set the clock with the needle pointing straight up to the full moon symbol at the 12 o'clock position. You can adjust the hand by turning the small cog on the back of the dial.
  • Hang the moon phase clock in your desired location using the keyhole fitting on the back.

Reading Your Moon Phase Clock

  • The illustrations around the moon phase clock give an indication of the current phase of the moon. The moon phase clock works on a timed mechanism taking 29.5 days for a complete rotation. The exact lunar cycle is 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes. For this reason, it is recommended to reset your moon phases clock during a full moon from time to time to ensure continued accuracy.
  • Waning - any time after full moon and before new moon, so called as the illuminated area of the moon is decreasing.
  • Waxing - any time after new moon and before full moon, so called as the illuminated area of the moon is increasing.

Engraved dials and all mount boards are suitable for indoor use only. Weather dials requiring a battery can only be used outdoors with a battery cover and if sheltered.
